Great story!!

Would you listen to Shadow Game again? Why?

This book was recommended by my mother because of the narrator. Tom Stechschulte does a wonderful job with the telling of this book! It was hard to stop listening when I had to work or do something that required my attention. I felt like I was right there with the characters of this story as it happened. I will definitely listen again!

Action and energy

Shadow game is a ride that is fun from start to finish. Not a cerebral book or one that requires a lot of attention, but a great distraction.

Missing excitement

I???m not really into Paranormal Romance; but I read this book because it was recommended by one of my goodreads friends; we have a book recommendation exchange program going and I thought I would be objective about this book even if I wasn???t looking forward to reading it. What I did like about this book was the Sci-Fi elements in this book; telekinetic soldier, Ryland seems to fall hard and fast for another telekinetic person; the overprotected, Lily. The psychic connections between the two seem to play a heavy role in the book; I think they were having physic sex before they actually meet in the book. Which brings me to the thing I didn???t really like about this book; the romance. While I???m ok with some romance in the book I think this book replaced any form of excitement/plot with romance and sex. Any hint of plot seemed to be overshadowed by the sex; I didn???t really enjoy the sex either; it seemed like the author was trying to censor herself too much, the lack of swearing and violence is a good example of that. I don???t think I???ll ever become a fan of the romance genre, defiantly not the paranormal romance genre but I will continue to keep an open mind when it comes to recommendations.

Lots of action, lots of emotion, LOTS of sex.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Any of my friends with a military + SciFi background, with the caveat about the sex.

What about Tom Stechschulte’s performance did you like?

Mr. Stechschulte's perfomance is consistantly great throughout the entire series.

Still Keeping Up the Standard of a Good Series

What did you love best about Shadow Game?

It kept me on my toes and was exciting. I think this was a good first of a series book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shadow Game?

The escape? There was a lot in there, but can't pick one without giving away "the game" (yes, poor pun).

What does Tom Stechschulte bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is really good with the male voices! He does a pretty good female voice, also. I think he is one of the better narrators.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Lilly finding out about her past. No spoilers.

Any additional comments?

I have read all of the Dark Series, the Drakes Series, The Sister of the Heart (read and listened to some), and am now onto this one. Yes, I am a fan.

Where does Shadow Game rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've probably read this book 4 times, the audible version was a great addition. I did not realize how much I had filtered out of the side characters. The alligator tale was so much better with all the voices. I didn't even read the Samari book just got the audible version.

A Great Beginning for a series

The beginning of a great series. I've enjoyed this story and know that I'll enjoy every one of them.

I wish men were really like Rilynn Miller I would search one down and keep him.but until then I'll keep on read about Christine Freehans kind of man

Love the series

Can’t wait to listen to the rest of them! The series is full of action as well as steamy romance. I read the books a long time ago and I’m glad I’m revisiting the series.
