Publisher's Summary

The battle between good and evil, God and Satan.
A fight older than time.

But is everything we know about this struggle just a matter of propaganda? Satan, Lucifer, the Devil, Shaytan sure thinks so. In this letter he tries to convince the human race, you, of his intentions.

They are pure.

Everything that was blamed on him was done as a smokescreen to cover more sinister motives.

The Fall? Not merely a matter of wanting to rule in Hell over serving in Heaven.

The Garden of Eden? He was trying to help us.

Jesus? Don't even ask.

With this letter Lucifer tells us his version of all the stories to settle his mind and settle the injustices of this world once and for all. Be careful...you might find yourself on the wrong side.

    The perspective.

What about Mark Lindgren’s performance did you like?

    AMAZING.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It's good to look at things from a different perspective and this showcases that fact.

"Never read/heard a book quite like it."

It's really quite a novel experience to hear a story from Satan's perspective. I give this book 10/10, would recommend to anyone that isn't the stuffy religious type.

"Interesting twist with some satirical undertones"

Something I found very interesting was the pure creativity of the story. There is a fun and unique story told by Lucy himself to essentially explain how he isn't a bad guy and that we've got him all wrong.

The only reason I didn't rate the story as a 5 is because it seemed to tail off at the end or rather run out of "real estate" in the framing of the book to drive home the overall storyline.

This was absolutely an enjoyable listen. I was able to listen to this gratis'.

"A surprisingly great and well-narrated short"

I found Satan's Plea hard to engage with, at first, but about a quarter of the way in, it turned a corner and found its groove. The narration had a lot to do with this, as it was excellent.

This short seems like a set-up for a full-scale novel, one I'd absolutely love to read, where Lucifer and God go to war. I'd love to see how that battle ends, and truth be told, from where this left off, I'd like to see the perceptive and sympathetic Lucifer win that one over the egocentric and selfish God who had only his best interests at heart, not those of his creations. The possibilities of that story are endless and could make for one intriguing piece of fiction.

    "interesting idea"

After reading the synopsis I instantly added this book to my wishlist. I found myself listening and going back and forth between, "some of the things he is saying sound legit," and "well now he is known as the master deceiver." Overall great short read and entertaining.
