Read the book instead of watching the movie
I try to make it a habit of reading the book before the movie in order to see what they left out. Usually it is a few things here and there. In this case though, about the only things that carried over were the main characters and the fact that the keys existed. The story kept me engaged the entire time and Will Wheaton was great as the narrator.

One of my favorites!
Ready Player One it the only book I have ever restarted, right after I finished it. It's a trip down memory lane for anyone who is 30-50 ish. It is well written, and the reading is fantastic!
