other than chapter 1, where Cline gets through some personal stuff, the book is fantastic. if you have any interest in games or the 80's ( I lean towards the former) there's an extra level in here for you. pun intended.😉

Great book, way better then the movie with a lot more detail and suspense and a few twists not in the movie.

The long forgotten geekdom of my youth brought to life in a great adventure. Looking forward to the next one.

Great Book that I go back to again and again

After reading some reviews I realized that this book must have appeared on some religious groups hate lists, because religion really wasn’t a huge part of the book aside from a few lines about the Oasis creator being atheist and one of the characters being gay.

This book is really fun. I am a huge nerd and it introduced me to so many fun nerdy things from the 80s. Googling Leopardon sent me down a huge rabbit hole of exploring 80s giant mech cartoons and comics.

It takes a lot of love And care to craft something with so many Small details and Easter eggs.

It’s very different from the movie. I personally like the audiobook version of this story best.

PHENOMENAL BOOK FOR OLD POP CULTURE NERDS

Fucking love the movie that being said the book is a whole other world worth every second I listen to audio books while working to reduce monotony of daily work flow and this book is PERFECT to take you out of real life and into the author's eyes

Totally Awesome

Growing up in the 80s, I could really appreciate all of the references and love for the video games, music, and entertainment. Will Wheaton’s performance was engaging and made each character come to life with subtle voice changes. I would have never read this book, but am so glad I did. If you enjoyed your youth in the 80s arcades and movie theaters, you will love revisiting these faves in this audiobook.

don't listen to other reviews their Bias. its a fiction novel . pretty entertaining. read the whole before judging or watch the movie , by the way nothing alike but it will give you a good understand of the book.

Nothing like the movie

Not like the movie. Much much better. Enjoyed the story and Will Wheaton did an excellent job.
