Tempest "Stormy" Jones is that mortal. She has long sensed the other, someone inside her fighting to take control, a feeling that becomes even stronger when the dark prince is near. But as Stormy denies the passion that burns between them, she also resists allowing Elisabeta to take over her mind and body to prevent her from claiming Vlad as her own.
But when Elisabeta discovers Vlad's feelings for Stormy, her wrath knows no bounds. She demands that her destiny be fulfilled, and seeks to destroy her rival, leaving Vlad in anguish, tormented by what was and what could be. Now only he can choose who will live and who will die.

This book could have only been 10 chapters long. Lots of repeat. I kept getting lost in the flashbacks. Seem to have a weak plot author kept reminding the reader of the same plot line over and over. But I do like vampire books and listening to books so I can do 2 things at once. So I rate it at only OK. Narrator wasnt too bad. I started the book over 2 times before I could get into it enough not to scream. Boring, droned on and on. Ugh!
I read the book before I listened to the audible and enjoyed both. A vampire love story with a mystery thrown in. This book has well built characters and the narrator does a pretty good job as well. I think this book is worth the money and you will not be dissapointed if you purchase it.
This book was completely sad, again, the storyline was a good one, the concept was well put together. But the characters, Dracula is a wuss, (imagine that), his love interest, is a female with her head on straight, but there was too much of going back and forth with, do he/she, don't he/she love me blah, blah, blah, and the romantics scenes were just not worth the credit. Why would a kick ass vampire need a Pocket knife????
I've always been addicted to Maggie Shaynes Vampire books. Her Twilight series kicks the crap out the popular one today. I was thrilled to hear of Stormy's story, and just hearing Morgan, Dante, Roland, Max and the others in the story just gave me goosebumbs. I will forever be addicted to their story.
