Publisher's summary

Paizo Publishing is the award-winning publisher of fantasy role-playing games, accessories, and board games. Pathfinder Tales: Liar's Bargain is the latest in their popular novel series.

The sequel to Hugo Award Winner Tim Pratt's Liar's Island!

For charming con man Rodrick and his talking sword, Hrym, life is all about taking what you can and getting away clean. But when the pair are arrested in the crusader nation of Lastwall, Rodrick faces immediate execution, with Hrym spending the rest of eternity trapped in an enchanted scabbard. Their only hope lies in a secret government program in which captured career criminals are teamed up and sent on suicide missions too sensitive for ordinary soldiers.

Trapped between almost certain death and actual certain death, the two join forces with a team of rogues and scoundrels, ready to serve their yearlong tenure as best they can. Yet not everyone in their party is what they seem, and a death sentence may be only the start of the friends' problems.

Another great novel in this Roderick series

This has been a wonderful journey through a few small areas of Golarion, the Pathfinder world. Roderick and Hrym are very memorable characters.

Suicide Squad

This novel is Pathfinder's response to DC Comic's Suicide Squad. A band of villains with nothing in common is forced to serve a holy order.

a better suicide squad than suicide squad was.

a fun bit of criminals forced into service of holier than though knights. the personalities bouncing off each other are the best parts.

suicide squad in golarion

direct reskin of suicide squad, even the names. fun read, tho. pathfinder isn't Shakespeare. not as good as previous books in the "liars" series, but just fine.

Awesome story again!

really like the writing style of Tim Pratt! He always makes the characters seem so much alive.
Steve West nails it again with an amazing reading. Really brings out the characters of Rodrick and the mighty Hym!

Makes me think of "The Suicide Squad"

A fun Story that gives me a fondness memory of The Suicide Squad though in a Fantasy setting in the Pathfinder world.

The Liar's Suicide Squad

I really liked the Liars blade and the Liar's Island. But he might as well have named this book The Liar's Suicide Squad.
