Excellent journey into the history of the Sith

Great story of Darth Bane’s rise and ultimate destruction of the Brotherhood of Darkness! Definitely a must read for Star Wars fans!

this book was fantastic. I immediately ordered the next two books. it was narrated well and so far out of all the Star wars books I've read this one was by far the best. thank drew karpyshyn for this brilliant novel and thank you Jonathan Davis for a fantastic narration of this book. I was genuinely unable to stop once I started.

Phenomenal 10/10

This is such an amazing story, I’ve been a huge fan of Star Wars my entire life, and I’ve never experienced a Star Wars story with such detail, I’ve never been exposed to such an amazing Sith story. I’ve read dark lord, anything that has to do with Maul, Plagues.. none compare to this. The storytelling was phenomenal. Outstanding. Can’t wait to get into book 2.

The only real negative thing I even have to say is sometime the background ambience is too loud over the narrative.

A Delightfully Dark Read

This is my first audio book and Mt first Star Wars novel, I very much enjoyed it and finished it in two days while at work. I farm full time and spend many hours driving in a tractor. This fed my desire yo read while not having to read. The narrator was fantastic and hugely engaging, he really brought the story to life, especially with the aid of the sound affects.

I could gush about the story for days. It's a wonderfully written decent into darkness that I couldn't put down. I got annoyed at phone calls, leave me to my book! I'm starting the next book in the series immediately!

Always Leave Them Wanting More…

Oh, where to start with this book. Let’s get my most positive criticism of this book out of the way - the narration is fantastic, the audiobook comes jam packed with Star Wars music and sound effects we’ve grown to love and expect from a Star Wars story. However, other than what little backstory we get for Bane, those are the only two major positive aspects of this story. The ending does allude to the title of this review, it left me wanting to know what happens to our characters next. Now, is this a good thing? Or, perhaps, a cash-grab method of trying to hold onto your listener…well, only time will tell. I have willed myself to at least finish the second narration/reading of this trilogy before I make my final decision about whether to DNF this series. I know, some of you may be saying that you find my lack of faith disturbing but that’s how this book made me feel. Until next time constant readers…
