Publisher's summary

While the world carries on unawares, Stryker, who leads an army of demons and vampires, is plotting an all out onslaught against his enemies—which, unfortunately for us, includes the entire human race. To avenge his sister, Stryker prepares to annihilate the Dark-Hunters. But things go awry when his oldest enemy returns. Enter his ex-wife. Zephyra. Just when he thought nothing could stop him, he's now embroiled in a centuries old war with a shrew who gives new meaning to pain.

Love in vein: listen to another Dark-Hunter novel.

Good Book, Bad Narration

I liked the book, really did, its not about the good guys, its mainly focused at Stryker and his past and present, I have enjoyed that. But the narration was awful, it wasn't the right narrator for this book.

Nick, Ache, and Stryker are in an interesting situation in this book and its ending is a game changer.

Good Book - Bad Reading

I enjoyed the book but after going through the whole series I expect certain names and other words to be said the same way. They really needed to stick with a single narrator and not have a few different ones. His rendition of women was horrible.

Narration destroys this Audio Book

How could the performance have been better?

William Dufris is horrible, I wish they would have given him a pronunciation list for the names prior to his performance, all types of names are jacked up in this recording. It literally almost 2 weeks to get through this book because of how annoying some of his voices and pronunciation was. Stick with Fred or Holter they do a MUCH better job.

Any additional comments?

I would say pass on this book for those aforementioned reasons but I think there are some really crucial parts to the Dark Hunter Series told in the story.

Great story, horrible narration.

I loved the book. But the narrator has problems pronouncing names and titles of characters. I also am not happy with the different voices that he uses for the different characters. Out of all the books I've listened to, this is the one with this narrator that I do not like at all. It kind of hurts the book in the storyline by having to listen to this gentleman's voice. I hope they do not use this narrator ever again and any other sherrilyn Kenyon books.

Worst Narrator EVER

What didn’t you like about Scott Brick’s performance?

He sounded bored reading the story. Voice sounded like it was dripping with disdain for the material. Honestly, if I had the time to be able to fight my dyslexia and my lack of time to read....I would have returned this purchase. LONGEST 6+ HOURS EVER!

Please, I need ear bleach!!!!

Would you try another book from Sherrilyn Kenyon and/or Scott Brick?

Sherrilyn Kenyon, YES, YES, a 1000 times, YES!!!!

scott brick, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What did you like best about this story?

It was written by Sherrilyn Kenyon and is a Dark-Hunter novel.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

most of the voices sounded like ancient relics, instead of God's and demigods in the prime of their ages. the women sounded like drag queens (mr brick and holter graham have a lot in common in this area), evidently the narrator didn't listen to the earlier books, none of the characters in this novel come anywhere close to the other voices in the other novels.

Was One Silent Night worth the listening time?

Story-wise, yes. if you can get through the grating horrid garbles of the narrator.

Any additional comments?

i will be sure to buy the e-book next time and read it myself, if mr. brick or mr graham are the narrators of record. sorry guys, you are bad.

Change the reader and it will be a 5 star book!

Well, i personally love this book, its the perfect sequel to follow Ash's story.... Stryker is awesome...the only thing that bothered me was the reader. Holter Graham read the greek words and pronounced the perfectly, and this guy is the worst at the pronouncing the words...i was a bit disappointed in that...but all in all the story itself is very good...

The Reader Sucks!!! but I love the book!

What did you like best about One Silent Night? What did you like least?

I like the book the best and hate the reader!

What did you like best about this story?

the story its self. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon!

How could the performance have been better?

Get a different person to read it.

Do you think One Silent Night needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

They totally need to have someone else prefornm this book cause I can't even finish listening to this guy . He is that BAD! I was excited to buy this and now am wanting my money back.

Any additional comments?

His Voices are lame and some are a bit offensive.
