Publisher's summary

Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) and the Weird (where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny). Only Edgers like Rose can easily travel from one world to the next, but they never truly belong in either. Rose thought if she practiced her magic, she could build a better life for herself. But things didn't turn out how she planned, and now she works a minimum wage, off-the-books job in the Broken just to survive.

Then Declan Camarine, a blueblood noble straight out of the deepest part of the Weird, comes into her life, determined to have her (and her power). But when a terrible danger invades the Edge from the Weird, a flood of creatures hungry for magic, Declan and Rose must work together to destroy them - or they'll devour the Edge and everyone in it.

A new PNR that I'll follow

A great read. The main characters are fun and lovable and the romance is believable and heart-swelling. I had little expectations aside from the good ratings and because it was my first Andrews' book I had an open mind. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the world created, the characters, and the romance. You can't help but love everything about the book. I'm definitely reading the next in the series and hope some of the characters from this book makes an appearance.

Entertaining

I like the Hidden Legacy series more but this one is also good. The characters are well developed and the story is very interesting. The story moved a bit slow sometimes. I skipped ahead a few times but never lost my place in the book. Renee Raudman does a good job giving the characters a different voice. I plan to get the next book in this series.

Sucked me into a new world.

This was my first book by these authors and introduced a completely different world consisting of the Weird, the Edge and the Broken where the characters have various magic abilities. I thought the story was very original. I loved Rose and Declan but I especially liked the characters of George and Jack (Rose's young brothers). I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to book 2.

a much worse Kate Daniels

contains gratuitous and unessesary sex scenes, and nonsense logic to continue the plot. I very much enjoyed the Kate Daniels books, this one has the same main characters with worse back stories, and less reasoning skills. The world is somewhat interesting and the book kept me entertained for the most part, but would not recommend to a friend.

Narrator can't do men's voices.

The narrator does a really poor job of men's voices. You get more or less used to it by the end.
