Ok but not

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

was ok but was missing the way the rest was.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Love his books so far but the ones have listed, I will keep listening unless they start getting disappointing

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Victor Bevine?

Victor Bevine is great like his voice, he keeps you listening.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointed

The Companions of the Hall ride again!

Victor Bevine's Legend of Drizzt narrarations are second to none. His character voices are perfect. Especially Bruenor Battlehammer. I love this series. Truly, one of my all time favorites.

The feeling of adventure is back!

As usual Victor Bevine does an outstanding job as the narrator. That doesn't need to be explained. But this book was truly fantastic. The sense of adventure was lost after a certain point in the entire series, this was a fresh new start, with the same characters I grew to love. But it is not stale, not just a rehash. Each character has grown even more than before, and in a sense, it's like I'm back in the world of the Icewind Dale trilogy, where the five, no six, companions of the hall are gathered together to become a force to be reckoned with. I haven't been so happy to have them all fighting together again, no feelings holding them back from doing what they all truly love best. And their ability to adapt to everyone's new talents, and make the once godly companions of the hall, into an even more devastating force.

The action was pretty slow at the start, but the story was very well told and allowed for me to, once again, appreciate the writing talents of my still favorite Author of all time. The story left me wanting more, wanting the second book in this saga. It had set so many things in motion that I am all too excited to come into fruition. It seems as if Bob had taken into consideration the mishap he had with the transition saga, and decided to make the story fresh again. Even I had started to feel like the tales had begun to stale. That was until the great Ghost King, which focused less on story, and more on the action and desperation. Then came the neverwinter saga, there I had thought I couldn't be more impressed with his writing. Then I read the companions, and night of the hunter. Needless to say, he proved me wrong with Night of the Hunter.

Truly an astounding book, and worth the read.

good book, audio editing problems

a number of times, I noticed the ends or beginnings of lines getting clipped just a touch. otherwise, yet another great narration by Victor.

another one!$

Another great book from R.A. Salvatore. as per usual the narration could be better but thats usually the deal. like when Bruenor does his Dwarf laugh its supposed to be a loud belly laugh "BWAAAHAHAHA!!" NOT a quant little "bwaha". The issue with these books always lies in the narration and the lack of research into the subject they are reading from, like Forgotten Realms lore.

Ever the tale of Drizzt and his adventures

Oh another book come and gone, and all the while I am sated, but only briefly. For now, I am left thirsting for more, as Pwent, vampire Pwent thirsted for blood.

Companions Reunited.

Night of the hunter, by RA Salvatore, picks up where the companions left off. This book is not just about Drizzt and his companions however, it is about the drow.
Here we see the further machinations of the residents of menzoberanazan as well as the new city of q'xorlaran. Intrigue backhanded Deals and plenty of back stabbing are the highlight of this book as Salvatore takes deeper into the realms of the drow.
