Great book!
I didn't really know what I was getting into with this book and found the first little bit a bit too cheeky, but soon found myself really enjoying the interesting world that the author created with some seriously laugh out loud moments, lovable characters and a story that is both entertaining and at times insightful.
The narrator does a great job bringing all the characters to life as well!

One of my favorite books by my favorite author
This is one of my favorite urban fantasy stories. Some authors can narrate their own work and others should leave it to the professionals. Gaiman is in a league of his own in how well he can do both.
As great as I think this novel, and this reading of it, is -- the BBC dramatization may be even better still.

Engaging and well read
The characters were read in different voices by Neil, much like how I read stories to my kids. The best part is this is how the author heard the characters when he wrote the story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth the listen

This is a truly wonderful, exciting, and funny book. And Neil Gaiman's performance of it was great too.
My only gripe is with the decision to use some voice-altering effects at certain (few!) points in the story. Maybe it's the speakers in my car but the echo effect and the "far off" effect both made it almost impossible to make out those segments of the story. I don't know why they chose to modify his voice. Luckily the rest of the whole experience was great, as is the bonus short story at the end. I do recommend.

brilliant concept with great delivery
This is my first time reading (listening to) anything by Neil Gaiman and I downloaded it on a whim based on Audible suggested books. I am happy to say I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end and suspect their is much more to it than appreciated the first time. I loved the unique and well developed characters. The pace is suspenseful and the imagery well done. I will be reading other Neil Gaiman novels for sure.
