"LOVED IT! Can't wait till June 2011"

I must say Carey has outdone herself again. I loved this book. My only negative comment without giving away the novel... the heroine was imprisoned with fanatical religious nuts and that part I didn't like at all. Thank goodness it didn't take too long to move on.
The way Carey writes about the characters and the peoples of different cultures is mesmerizing. I love it. I can't give any higher praise to the narrator. My previous comment on Naamah's Kiss was that she stumbled on the accent a bit. She was much better here. I can't wait till Naamah's Blessing. I can only see where the 4, 5, 6th novels are heading...

    "Disapointing story, nothing like Phedre's."

Sex scenes totally ruined it. Phedre's sex scenes always left me wanting more, but Moirin's were explicitly detailed and did nothing for me. They were disjointed, no build up of sexual tension between characters and, basically, wonton. If it weren't for Anne Flosnik's vocal talents, I'd never have bothered to finish this book.

3,495 hours listened in 2012! I used to be a voracious reader, then my job had me driving about 1k miles a week. I started listening to Audible and have never stopped. I quit work and now just listen all the time, cleaning house, shopping, driving, in the hot tub. I even put one earbud in and let Audible read me to sleep every night.

"Great wrap-up of the story, maybe"
Would you consider the audio edition of Naamah's Curse to be better than the print version?

You really need to hear this book instead of reading it. Anne Flosnik gives all the right accents to each character, the perfect inflection of each voice.

    "Lord f the Nahams"

I enjoyed this follow up to Naamahs gift - its a great listen very well read. Its a bit like Lord of The Rings though with Morien saving the day where ever she goes. Its wide ranging and engaging. Good story line with some twists that are unexpected. This keeps the interest as its not always predictable.
I think the writer is making some commentary on the world as she replicates countries and religions that we can recognise.
I will be looking for the next one :)

    "Wonderful Epic Tapestry"
    Any additional comments?

As with all of the Kushiel/Naamah series these three books make for a rich and lush tapestry that is a delight for the senses.Of the three Naamah books, I felt this one struggled a bit more to flow to its conclusion, as with many middle children it had growing pains. But it does not detract from the series in any way. It is a wonderful book in its own right.
