Publisher's summary

Ten years ago, federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, a typical soccer mom with a minivan and suburban home. Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire.

There's something in the water. Something evil.... Now in Moon Shadow (Vampire for Hire, Book 11), private investigator Samantha Moon is hired to track down a purported lake monster that could wreak havoc on a tourism business.

When Sam delves into the creature sightings that have spooked Lake Elsinore residents, she crosses paths with the case of two missing boys. The police are stumped, and Sam and her werewolf lawyer boyfriend, Kingsley, team up to investigate both cases. And what lies beneath the surface of the lake is just the beginning for the paranormal abomination that has taken over Lake Elsinore. This is no legendary monster. Its diabolical evil spans centuries and even worlds - and it sets its sights on Sam's loved ones....

As Sam and Kingsley pursue the truth, time is running out for the missing boys - and for someone she loves. Will Samantha Moon have to choose between them?

Tammy

Just had to stop listening an post that .. I REALLY dislike the daughter. If I saw her trapped in a burning car I would have to think hard about rescuing her .. she being basically a waste of oxygen.

Continues to be inconsistent.

Inconsistent about the medallions - at one point Sam is grateful that Max has the diamond medallion for safe. keeping when in fact, Sam is wearing it as 2 rings.

After Gunther is beheaded, all of a sudden Sam is avoiding looking at RUFUS's head.

Problems with age across the series and within book.

Too much talk

I have enjoyed this series up to now...But this book had two major problems that made it difficult to finish.
First Samantha babbles too much. A endless monolog that bogs the story line down.
Second Sam often comes across like she giving a lecture on ethics to a bunch of college freshmen.
Enough already!

great story

I really love this story and book keeps getting better and better leading up to something big. I have to be in the mood to read supernatural and this book really put me in that mood. A different take on vampires that makes for great reading. The narrator does a great job telling the story. Can't wait to see where it goes next. Highly recommended

Okay book

I was getting a bit bored with the storyline. It seemed to trail off at times. Also was a bit confusing when they talked about it New Orleans- reference to the 1/2 book.

Not a fan of Frankenstine..

I liked all of the books but had some trouble staying focused through many parts of this book. There was alot of over explaining on the boring parts, I still find the discription of the massive hairy Kingsley to be unatractive. please STOP discribing him. Sam has weird taste in men. lol

Over the top?

I have enjoyed this series why does it have to get more and more bizzare? Frankenstein monsters and teleporting? Why? It was good without that crazy out there stuff. I'm disappointed. May not continue with the series.
