Envy's life was great. Great brother, great boyfriend, and the best job a girl could ask for... tending bar at the most popular clubs in the city. At least it was great until she got a call from one of her best friends about her boyfriend doing the vertical limbo on the dance floor at Moon Dance. Her decision to confront him begins a chain of events that will introduce her to a dangerous paranormal world hidden beneath the everyday humdrum. A world where people can transform into jaguars, real life vampires roam the streets, and fallen angels walk among us.
Devon is a werejaguar, a little rough around the edges and one of the joint owners of Moon Dance. His world is tilted on its axis when he spies an alluring vixen with red hair dancing in his club, armed with a cynical heart and a taser. With a vampire war raging around them, Devon vows to make this woman his... and will fight like hell to have her.

The flat, droning voice of the narrator plus repetitive music pauses were so distracting, that it was an effort to complete this book. The first part of the book was particularly bad.
The story was ok, but hard to get engaged in with clunky, inappropriate, repetitive music being played for major pauses. It could be improved by removing these!
Only for diehard fans of the genre wanting to start a new series.
I think I was probably spoiled after just finishing the Chess Putnum series by Stacia Kane, but this book was just ok, and the narration was totally irritating. I almost couldn't bear to finish listening and I don't know what was with the strange piano music between chapters. It didn't add drama, it was annoying. I won't be purchasing and of the rest of these and I think they might be more palatable if I read them. There seemed to be too much irrelevant information and no real depth to the characters or the story. Don't waste a credit.
I believe I would have really enjoyed this series if not foe
R tha narrator and her irritatingly screechy voice and inability to pronounce words like Jaguar. If a book is about said animal one would think the narrator would learn the correct pronunciation.
I would not recommend this audiobook mainly because the narrator could not pronounce some frequently used words correctly. I spent most of the book cringing at and focusing on the painful mispronunciations, and the story was not interesting enough to distract me from it. As for the story itself, it felt like a lot of improbable leaps were made without explanation. I was so busy wondering how it got from point A to D that I couldn't get into it.
Better narrator was needed for sure, or at least someone to tell her how to pronounce the words. This particular story would also be much improved if additional details were added to flesh out the story.
I should not have bothered to listen to the end, I feel like it was a waste of time.
Yes! I loved it!
Moon Dance is the first book in the
Best Paranormal Romance Series of the Year!
There are already 8 books in this series with more to come and I am so glad they are finally bringing them out in audio!
A better narrator and leave out that terrible music. I hate that I purchased the book and am unable to listen to it.
I couldn't say. Becauase of the bad, boring, unprofessional narration and that horrid music at major pauses, I could not get into the story.
If someone else did the narriation like Hilary Huber or Tavia Gilbert
None. Could not get into the book because the narrator made it so boring.
I was excited to start this series and planned to purchase all of the audiobooks. I am so glad I decided to try the first book before purchasing the others.
This book was difficult to follow at first. But, I am up to book 8 of the series so far. I enjoy listening to series because they are entertaining. But the author introduces way to many characters in the first book and second book. The series is more like two soap operas mixed together. It's like "Friends" and "Cheers" mixed together in a half hour series and this is the first time you're seeing them. While listening to the audio, just when I think I know who the main characters are, I am wrong. Then later on, I might have been right. Kind of weird.
Like mentioned in my headline, You will be totally lost if you wait 2 or 3 months later to go to the next book in the series. You’ll end up racking your brain trying to remember if a person in the current book you are reading is a new character or one from the previous book.
I like to read the book descriptions before I decide to listen to a book. Turns out the descriptions on some of the books was so off the mark, I wasn't sure I was listening the right story. It is like 5% of the story was actually related to the description of what the book was about. I’ve noticed this on a few of the books in the series.
The narrator can sometimes overdo it when it comes to yelling. I enjoy listening to K.B. but I found myself getting very irritated when she yells. I listen to these stories on my way to work. It's quit embarrassing when you’re listening to the story and everything is low key then all of a sudden K.B. yells so loud and long that people in the cars on either side of me are looking at me like I a crazy.
The story is awesome full of action. It was the recording of it that graded on my nerves. It sounds like it was recorded in a warehouse & the narrator has a high nasally voice, which had me turning the volume down when I was wearing headphones...OUCH!!
I loved the interaction and sexual tension between Envy & Devon.
Re-Record The Entire Audiobook & Get Someone With A Better Voice!!
I think there was too many character's. I'm sure the other character which didn't have big parts will play bigger roles in other books. But at times I got confused on who was talking & in who's point of view we were reading thru.
The Music!! THE MUSIC!! That is in between the changing of chapters & charater's points of view was so irritating. I have never heard anyone do that before only at the beginning & end of an audiobook needs to be taken out!! Or Get Better Music!!
This has to be the worst narrator ever employed. Everyone has the same voice, no man voices ever not many changes in the female voices. She cannot pronounce words like Ro-DAY-o drive not rode-eo drive, Sat-iated not Say-tiated, just to point out a few, she has no idea about voice emphasis and screams loudly for the "talk loud or angry voices". Where did she come from??? Aweful. She must be a junior high drop out, cuz she sure cant read well at all. What a shame
Now, having said that, I am continuing this series because I really like the story. I have no idea why I found it under erotica, as ordinary romance novels have more sex than this series.
I agree with another review that the cheesy music is so not needed between change in thoughts by the author. Matter of fact, it is just plain stupid. The whole book sounds as if taped with the narrator sitting in a tin can. But that is not her fault. I guess producers cut corners with production and narration LOL.
If I had the time I would buy the books and read them not listen to them as this WOULD Be BETTER. I listen and make my stuff that I create at the same time. Major multi tasker LOL.
Really, there is about 4 stories going on in one book at the same time. But I follow it just fine.
Save your money and your credit for a listen. BUY the books and read them as the story is really not bad at all. I like all the supernaturals combined into one story. Fallen Angels, Vamps, Shifters, and Were Wolves I dont recall reading anything with all them intermingling, but it is a good way to go for something different.
Read it, dont listen as you will roll your eyes at all the cheese and worst narration anyone should ever have to endure.
This is the first audio book I've tried and I couldn't make it past the first 1/2 hour. The narrator was dreadful, the first 10 minutes sounded computer generated it was so stilted and then it was just fake and over done....simply awful and has put me off trying any other audio book.
