Publisher's summary

Dirty Harry meets Twilight. Number 3 in the break-out series and a follow-up to Monster Hunter International and Monster Hunter Vendetta.

Earl Harbinger may be the leader of Monster Hunter International, but he's also got a secret. Nearly a century ago, Earl was cursed to be a werewolf. When Earl receives word that one of his oldest foes, a legendarily vicious werewolf that worked for the KGB, has mysteriously appeared in the remote woods of Michigan, he decides to take care of some unfinished business. But another force is working to bring about the creation of a whole new species of werewolf. When darkness falls, the final hunt begins, and the only thing standing in their way is a handful of locals, a lot of firepower, and Earl Harbinger's stubborn refusal to roll over and play dead.

Werewolves Galore!

Quite possibly my favorite book of the series… However Werewolves are my favorite monster, so I may be a bit biased. The Amazing story and great performance will keep you intrigued and on the edge of your seat. It was fun learning about Harbingers history!

Earl is just amazing.

Loved to get to know more of Earls backstory, and can't wait to get to know the new additions.

Great story

The books just keep getting better. Great story from the perspective of MHI werewolf leader. I have to also give credit to the narrator. He’s does a great job with the characters. However, he does a particularly great job with the bipolar Russian ally/adversary. He does the best Christopher Walken impersonation I have ever heard. He is more Walken than Walken, and the usage was quite appropriate. I was looking forward to hearing this particular character speak the whole time!

Earl Harbinger: The Human?

Good story. Correia continues to build on the mythos and events of the prior books and somehow raise the stakes even when the stakes aren't driving through a vampire's heart.

There are a few deux ex machina moments but they are set up well and serve the story as they should.

And if you don't fall in love with Heather, check your pulse.

Only thing about the excellent narration is the voice blueprint chosen for Nicolai. It makes total sense given his character archetype but when you realize who the voice is styled after, I challenge you to not picture him in the setting. I'm just not sure how I feel about it, but it was excellently done.

If you happened to read Monster Hunter files first, you'll gladly realize you know a character or two from that collection.

Bring on the next book!

Larry Correia again rocks the Monsters!

Can’t get enough of solo LC and MHI. Another very creative, fun, flammable and fantastic thriller. Harbinger and Heather, a new team of lol lycanthropes. Lots of twists snd seeming insurmountable hurdles. All to the good though... as the best fantasy literature always is.
