Shows what a really good author can do with the vampire-hunter concept. I'm a big fan of the early Anita Blake books and I really think these are so much better. Whole world she has created is more realistic, while still being a fantasy. And Beast is such a great character!
im planning on reading the whole series again as soon as i finish the next book
New to the audiobook thing, but I like it! I'm a huge Stephen King fan... Along with the spy/military type books by Brad Thor, Vince Flynn
The narrator Khristine is great, she definitely makes the story happen.
You just don't know what's going to happen, or what to expect. There are so many stories that are predictable, this one keeps you wondering.
My first experience was with the first book in this series, I love her story telling abilities.
I am hooked on Jane Yellowrock, I have already down loaded the next book to start listen now.
I have enjoyed this everyone of the Jane Yellowrock books each has been a really enjoyable read.
I really love how this writer brings the reader into Janes skin so to speak and allows us to feel her beast.
all theres no one part of any of this series that hasnt failed to delight.
There were many moments of laughter and as many moments of holding my breath wondering how she was going to get out of the trouble she had found herself in.
I hope there will be many more Jane Yellowrock books for all to keep us on the edge of our seats.
Listens to audiobooks while travelling to and from various countries in Europe.
After reading the premise of this third installment of the series, I somehow had the impression that this would be the lesser of the three books. I was wrong. The character development has improved the story line tremendously and you get more and more insight into the inner workings and politics of the vampire hierarchy and its history with other mystical creatures. Khristine Hvam does a remarkable job as voice actor and I could not wait to get into my car and listen to another chapter or two. Also the cliffhanger is a nice touch, I will certainly buy the next book in the series.
Faith Hunter is a great story teller and Khristine Hvam does a great job of reading the story. The characters are developing nicely, can't wait for the next book.
I just fininshed listening to the book and I'm finding myself wishing for more. The first book was interesting and OK, second book got better and the third book I really got into it.
In Mercy Blade we get to know more about the vampire lore as well as weres. The main story line of finding the werecat's killer and Rick was entertaining, furthermore the book gives more rich background to the people and culture introduced in the last 2 books. It ends on a bit of a cliff hanger (sort of) and makes me wonder what's going to happen next. Cannot wait for more!!
Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.
I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow.
