If you can't handle brutality, male rape, forced bondage and discipline, as part of the story line than don't read J.R. Ward. If you enjoy intense urban fantasy then I recommended starting with the first book in the series and read in order.
When Vishous tells his story, and finds out some truths about who he really is. That some one can open his heart to feeling he never thought he could have.
I think Jim Frangione does a great job with narration of this series.
*SPOILER ALERT* When Jane dies.
I've read every book in this series more than once and have always enjoyed each one. If you enjoy enjoy intense, dark urban fantasy then you will enjoy this series.
Vishous is the most human brother. I only have 3 more books to go and am anxious to "read", but I want to savor these delicious stories. I can I do both? J R Ward - you'll have to write more!
What cost true love? A great story . Insight into V and Butch's relationship.John Matthew and Darius. So many reveals. Above all V' and Janes story. Heart rending and intriguing.
The way the layers of story just keeps unraveling. J.R, is an awesome writer she keeps the story moving and you never lose interest.
I can't compare it even though it is in a series each book is different.
I think is perfect for the series. I would love to have a female narrator do the female parts and Jim continue with the men.
If you are a J R Ward fan this is another excellent installment in the Brotherhood Series (Book 5). Ward's storyline is unique and fresh as always. Interesting plot developments that leave you wanting more, more, more!!! If you have not experienced J R Ward's vampire world I highly recommend each and every installment of this series. I really like the narrator even though there is not much difference between female and male voices...I hope he continues with the series...have purchased each and every title in series, all are amazing, well worth the credit.
The book was well written I love the conflict in V 's life. It made the book believe able, but I hate that Jane is a ghost, it makes no sense. But what ever I still love that V got his happy ending.
Listen to or read the books; you will not be sorry! Ward takes you on a captivating journey, full of laugh, life, love, fight, warriors and the women who bring the best from them. I'm definitely having book withdrawls on this one. Lucky for me...Book 6 is downloaded & waiting. See you in the next review!
LOVE English Bulldogs, Nelson Demille, Patricia Cornwell and just reading in general!
***SPOILERS***I was just really looking forward to V's story because he's one of my favorite characters. But the whole "Ghost" girlfriend thing is just a bit much. I mean I just can't wrap myself around the idea that this Ghost is going to be operating on the boys etc.
Absolutely, I'll continue on with the BDB books.
I like his voice, I just wish he could do different voices so you were able to distinguish between the boys as he is reading.
It would be cool if you could somehow make Jane "SOLID"...so the brothers don't accidentally walk through her...that would be really great!! hahaha
