This is the fourth book in this series. Butch is a human mixed up in the vampire world. He has been befriended by the Black Dagger Brotherhood. They are the good guys who are out there to protect the civilian vampires from the slayers. Butch gets taken by the slayers and the torture was almost too much. But when he came to he found out that something had been planted into his body. Marissa is the vampire who he has deep feelings for, and now he is afraid to let his feelings grow. Can what has happened to him draw them closer or will it tear them apart forever? What was placed inside him and why? Can his new found friends help destroy the thing or will he be destroyed to save them? I had read this book years ago but listening to it was much better. The narrator had me enthralled to the end. I would give 4.5 stars for this book.

oh Butch!

I love Butch's story so much. I wish there were another narrator for this series though

Gotta love The Cop

Poor Butch those darn lessors did him wrong, never a good thing when the Omegas involved. We are counting on Vishous and the rest of the Brotherhood to make this right. This book is the best example so far of the Brothers togetherness and definitely helps define Butch and V's relationship. Butch is funny and always rapping to Marissa and trying to get "in there" since the moment he met her in the first book. This book does not disappoint and we are happy to find out why he was able to fall in so well with the Brotherhood. His story makes a lot of sense, good job Ward on dealing with the "human".

loved it!

I loved Butch and Marissa. They are both such genuine characters and both have been through so much. This is my favorite book in the series so far.

Really enjoyed this book. The Black Dagger Brotherhood series. something that makes you wish it was true.

So good

These books are so good; thoroughly enjoyable. The storyline is full of action and it moves along at a good pace. I hope Torrent appears soon. Narrator is doing a great job; issues with lengthy pauses and rereading the same sentences has mostly disappeared with this book. On to the next book!

Great as always

Such a great story for Butch. His character background was always fascinated to me. He ends up with his HEA and helps build the Destroyer prophecy storyline.

Download has 30 minutes of blank space

The book was, as usual for this author, very entertaining. The download was a disappointment as there is a long blank space about half way through part 2. Too bad because I think I missed a lot of story line details.

When is the movie?

I liked all the transitions Butch went through.
The Omega and Scribe Virgin are enthralling and I’d love to see this story on the big screen.
