Publisher's summary

A determination to survive...

Betrayed by everyone she loves, Valerie Dearborn will do anything to get out of Fey and avoid becoming Cerdwellyn's queen. Even if it means she has to rely upon Lucas, the monster who betrayed her.

A bid for redemption...

Lucas felt nothing for hundreds of years, but Valerie's blood has changed everything. Forced to confront his sins, he'll do what he can to help Valerie survive. Even if it costs him his life.

A destiny cut short...

Cerdwellyn, King of the Fey, lost his true queen centuries ago. He's determined to make Valerie her replacement, but ghosts from his past have other plans.

The end of the story.

As Valerie struggles to survive she must choose between reality and illusion, between sacrifice and love, all in hopes of figuring out the truth: that if you love someone you must be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice.

After the second book idk

I don't know the first book was little confusing, but I held on and got the second book the second book was knock your socks off good so I got the third book and the third book just seemed a little rushed. The characters stay true to form some of the villains weren't really villains and some of the innocents were really innocent so it had some twists and turns which are really great. And the epilogue left some suggestions for maybe another book. But I don't know it just left me kind of empty like there could've been more there could've been more description and it didn't have to be so rushed in those last few chapters it's like she spent so long getting us hooked into the story and showing us this transformation of Lucas from villain to hero and the love and the yearning and the redemption and then all this buildup to nothing within a few pages maybe 10-15 minutes total was the end how rushed is that?

Great Addition to Series....

The Valerie Dearborn series books need to be read in order to understand, they are in no way stand alone books.

I loved this book, the 2nd wasn't nearly as good but this one answers a lot of questions from the first 2. The cliff hanger at the end is HORRIBLE, so I hope there's either Another book or a companion series.

With that all being said, books are definitely worth the credit and time to listen to them!

DISAPPOINTING

Story seemed to drag on and on only to end abruptly leaving unanswered questions. Pretty disappointing.

Was ok

I really liked the first book and the second book was good but this book was a little bit all over the place... it started out pretty good then u get like halfway through the book and it gets a bit confusing.... I think she could have made a forth book in this series because it was like she tried to throw too much into this book...

But I liked the narrator of this book so much... I would definitely listen to other books performed by her

What was most disappointing about Caroline Hanson’s story?

Is very simple. but I believe she can get better with experience.

Yawn.....

For the first two books to be so good, this one was very drawn out and boring. I mean the first few chapters I had to go back and replay because I would either fall asleep or just tune it out! Very disappointing!
