Publisher's summary

Rowen Locke has achieved his dream of becoming a Knight of the Crane, and he now bears Knightswrath, the legendary sword of Fâyu Jinn. But the land remains torn, and though Rowen suffers doubts, he would see it healed. His knightly order is not what it seems, though, and allies remain thin. When Rowen and his friends seek an alliance with the forest-dwelling Sylvs, a tangle of events results in a midnight duel that teaches Rowen a dangerous lesson and leaves him with a new companion of uncertain loyalties. The sadistic Dhargots still threaten the kingdoms, but another menace lurks in the shadows, playing a game none can see. As Rowen struggles to prove his worth - to his allies and to himself - chaos raises its hand to strike. A price must be paid, and not even the wielder of Knightswrath will remain untouched.

Great Continuation of the Dragonkin Trilogy

Knightswrath is a great continuation of the epic fantasy Dragonkin Trilogy. The book repeatedly references and builds upon events from the first book in the story, so you might not completely understand all the events without listening to book one first. I highly enjoyed the first novel in the series, and this book expands on everything that was great in book one. We learn more about the character’s backgrounds and we’re introduced to several new characters; I’m especially fond of the antagonist. The author did a great job building several different storylines at once and switching at the right time to keep the anticipation building. Once the action started I didn’t want to pause the book for any reason. I really enjoyed the narrator in the first book and he did an excellent job with this book as well. He used different and distinct voices for all the characters and I liked how he adjusted his volume based on what was happening in the story. Overall, this was a fantastic listen and an excellent continuation of the trilogy.

Sensitive Reader Alert

Any additional comments?

The story was entertaining. Some scenes were a bit too long. The narration is great; Craig Beck does a wonderful job.

Sensitive readers may find the violence, sexual references/content, and language offensive.

A good sequel, but not sure who it will all tie up

I enjoyed this book, even though I found the timeline between characters to be off. It seems that the main character travels about a couple weeks, while other characters travel around for months. There is a new evil character that seems a little all too powerful, and many new subplots. I also wish the magic was a little more explained since it is becoming an even bigger part of the story. In the end if you liked the first book you will probably like the continuation of the story.

Just as Good as the First..

Any additional comments?

The story continues with Rowen in this sequel.

He was penniless with nothing to his name , however, the tide has changed in his favor.

There are more obstacles in this second book as well as dubious allies and a few twists.

I do not want to give too much away but I will say, that Overall, this was a very Entertaining

Read and I look forward to the next book.

Craig Beck did well with the narration.

Continuing To Enjoy This Series

Any additional comments?

The Dragonkin Trilogy begins to expand as a new villain enters the series who could be the instigator of the troubles erupting in the world. Rowan and his crew seek the help of the mysterious Sylves, elven like people who have remained reclusive. I have found this series very entertaining and am still surprised at how little fanfare there is around these books.

Craig Beck does a wonderful job with the narration.

just too confusing. narrator made it worse.

this was the most confusing audible I've listened to. Couldn't figure out what was going on, who was who, or where they came from. i kept having to rewind and that didn't help either. the narrator seemed to exacerbate the problem. I think I would have enjoyed it better if I'd read it instead of listening to it.
