Publisher's summary

Talk radio host and werewolf Kitty Norville has agreed to appear on TV's first all-supernatural reality show. She's expecting cheesy competitions and manufactured drama starring shapeshifters, vampires, and psychics. But what begins as a publicity stunt will turn into a fight for her life.

The cast members, including Kitty, arrive at the remote mountain lodge where the show is set. As soon as filming starts, violence erupts, and Kitty suspects that the show is a cover for a nefarious plot. Then the cameras stop rolling, cast members start dying, and Kitty realizes that she and her monster housemates are the ultimate prize in a very different game. Stranded with no power, no phones, and no way to know who can be trusted, she must find a way to defeat the evil closing in before it kills them all.

The best so far!

It has been a while since I read the series, so it is like reading them for the first time listening to them on here. This book was so much more intense, emotional, suspenseful, and just plain great! On to the next.

Good book-entertaining

This was a pretty good book, kept me listening, the narrator is one of the best. I really like the Kitty Norvelle series. Nothing deep or mysterious. Just plain entertaining.

Really good addition to the series :D

4.5-5 stars

This was a great story and addition to the series. Kitty gets an invite from some TV producers to do a reality TV show that involves getting a bunch of paranormal celebrities trying to convince a skeptic that the paranormal really exists. Not all of the participants are paranormal though since a couple are human but with special powers (like Grant, Tina and Jeffrey) and one is just plain human (Ariel, Priestess of the Night) with a radio show similar to Kitty's.

When Kitty hears that some of her friends are in on the show, she agrees to participate but she's still a bit nervous about it. It is supposed to take place in a secluded cabin in the mountains and she's not happy about being away from Ben that long. Also, Ben is working on Cormac's parole hearing and Kitty wishes she could be around for that even if she can't do anything to help. When Kitty first gets to the cabin, things are interesting and she's busy trying to get to know new paranormal and deal with their conflicts and trust issues. There's something hinky going on in the house but exactly what's putting people on edge isn't clear. Soon the reason becomes apparent as dead bodies start popping up and Kitty and the rest find themselves stranded and being hunted for a paranormal themed snuff film. Unfortunately, not everyone makes it out alive but Kitty does survive and is reunited with Ben in the end.

This was a really enjoyable story. Ok, it was also a bit disturbing, I mean the idea of people hunting people just because they're different isn't a happy one, obviously. But regardless of this, the story was very good and made me feel along with the characters...I was completely engaged in this story. I'd recommend this story and series. :D

Wow! I did not see that coming

Where does Kitty's House of Horrors rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

very near the top

What other book might you compare Kitty's House of Horrors to and why?

Cat and Bones....Kitty & Ben are very close to the chemistry of Cat and Bones

Which scene was your favorite?

***Spolier Alert!!!!
Taking down the hunters and when one of the vamps get caught in a cage...I DID NOT see that coming

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes...I did not know what was happening next and even though certain characters did not make it through the entire book...I found I could still enjoy the book even when REALLY sad parts happen...

Any additional comments?

Just a really different, good story about Kitty!!!
