Have Mercy: listen to another Mercy Thompson chiller.

I am an avid listener. I listen between 75-100 hours per month on my iPhone: 60% fiction to 40% non-fiction.
Book three does not disappoint. Briggs brings more to the table than just a fantasy novel through-line. These novels so far take on the feeling of a fantasy thriller without being over the top with magic hoo-ha. Mercy continues to be the focus while the author meticulously adds color to the supporting cast.
In this book, you will not hear from the Vampires. Rather this book is focused on the Faye. Also, in this book does Mercy resolve the love triangle or not? I won't tell but this book surly does. I also like the way Briggs brings her messages to bear without hitting you over the head or preachy.
King is as fantastic as ever. Keep reading this series, Briggs continue to bring it. Thumbs up.
Maddie and I, are a dad-daughter combo who love audible books. She has recently started to write reviews also. I hope you can differentiate.
I suprised myself with how much I enjoyed this series and especially this book. I admit I consider Patricia Briggs a guilty pleasure as I don't think 30-something men are her target audience. But she tells a compelling story with a rich use of language and a deep understanding of how her characters think. I would recommend this novel to anybody looking for a no-brain escapist novel.
Wonderful series! The author and the reader are an incredible team. This series is a great mixture of fantasy, suspense, action and romance. The characters are really rich and fun. The romance between the two main characters really enhances the story, but doesn't bog the story down. I don't read romance novels, but a little romance and sex in a book like this is fun. The author develops the romance between the two characters thru the series and makes it intriguing to watch. It's fun, sexy and easy to believe. Each book is complete enough to stand alone, but it's better to read the books in order since some things are built on what occurred in a previous book, but not dependent on it. The reader is really good and is able to develop voices and stay true to them thru the series; you know exactly who is speaking all the time. I highly recommend this series and have to a lot of people!
I've read the entire series through a couple of times before deciding to listen to the Audible version. I've enjoyed the narrated story and think it adds another layer of enjoyment. it's also convenient to multi-task while listening, meaning there's more time to spend with the characters than reading itself allows.

I am so mad at myself for waiting so long to listen to these books. They are awesome and I am enjoying them so much and will continue the series until I get caught up!
Iron Kissed was great. The reading was excellent. I was kept on the edge of my seat through out the entire reading.

Ok Seriously??? I don't like books that bring tears to my eyes. Dang oh freaking mighty! ARG! That part was both written and read well, I had to stop this book a few times. There are certain emotions I don't admit to having and I don't appreciate something bringing them out in me. Holy Smokes. Cheese is Crusty!! lol Some of the things Mercy says you just have to stop everything and write it down for future reference. This book goes over an event that no one should ever go through and the manipulation is so thick, I was ... Well I don't want to talk about it... If the next book exploits these emotions again, I don't think I will buy book 5.
I am a huge fan of Faith Hunter, so at first I wasn't sure of the Mercedes Thompson character as she didn't seem to be as strong. But the characters are growing on me and I like the way each novel gets better. Go Mercy!!!!
