Enter the woods...if you dare.
For centuries, the woods have been a pivotal part of the wonder and danger of fairy tales, for once you enter anything can happen. Elves, druids, fairies - who knows what you will find once you dare step into the forest?
And now, New York Times best-selling author Kim Harrison ventures into these mysterious, hidden lands of magic and mystery in her first short-story collection. Into the Woods brings together an enchanting mix of brand-new, never-before-published stories and tales from Harrison's beloved, best-selling Hollows series.
The tales here include an original Hollows novella, "Million-Dollar Baby", about Trent Kalamack's secret elven quest in Pale Demon; two original short stories, "Pet Shop Boys" and "Temson Woods," that explore just what happens when humanity and the supernatural collide; and two novelettes, "Spider Silk" and "Grace," set in new worlds of imagination and adventure. Into the Woods also contains all of the previously published Hollows short stories - together in one volume for the very first time.
Step into the woods and discover the magic for yourself.

I love audio books.
This fills in the story's between book.
I like her rendition of all the players in the book.
Biz and Jenks's adventure was a fun and great look into the pixy life.
Overall, this was a very good anthology. I totally enjoyed the Hollows shorts, some of which I'd read before, and enjoyed most of the rest of the stories. I would especially like to see more in the world of the last story. I absolutely loved the story about Kisten and Rachel, mainly because I miss that character in the series. I didn't care too much about the story Temson Estates mainly because I don't think there was really much of a plot. Marguerite Gavin did a fantastic job as always and was as consistent with the character voices as she is in the series.
The short stories fill in some blanks, expand some characters. Overall, only worthwhile if you are a Hollows fan.
The intros by the author at the beginning of each story are unnecessary and detract from the enjoyment. Either the story stands on its own or it doesn't. If the author feels the need to explain the story, it shouldn't be there.
I consider audiobooks better than print anyways so yes!
Rachael is always my favorite character! Oh wait.. i meant Trent, noo Ivy... errr.. Jenks! I love Kistin! Oh hell, i dont know. I love them all!
Marguerites cadence and manner of which she reads this entire series is so unique. She really brings a different life to each character she portrays.
This book is so satisfying! Its wonderful and thrilling to have the back stories of these characters! It makes me love and understand them all the more. Thank you Kim! *Bunny-eared Kiss Kiss!*
It's a nice addition to the Hollows series, as it is a series of short stories that correlate to the books. It's especially good for Jenks fans as the two stories featuring him are quite poignant.
Grace, in the last story - though she is not a Hollows character. I'd love to read more about her world!
I Love a great supernatural tale, a Love story, PNR, a Cool Mystery and Most Sci-Fi....if there are vampires, weres or witches in it, that's a plus! Basically I am a 40+ y/o young at heart woman rediscovering the wonderful world of books and am now addicted! Lol I LOVE AUDIBLE!!!!!
Spectacular! Interesting! Entertaining!
My Fave was Million Dollar Baby! And I loved the last story Grace....but I really liked all of them!!
All the Rachel books, and I love her!!
The banshee story really touched me and Ivy's....and lots of this book made me laugh...Kim Harrison has a delightful sense of humor...
I liked the way this book tied up a lot of loose ends...and I liked the new stories and characters a lot...I hope she does more with Grace!
I was so jonesing for some Hollows stories and Kim Harrison. These stories were great! I loved every one of them.
Of course, Marguerite Gavin brings so very much to the book with her unbelievable narration.
If you, too, are fans of The Hollows AND Kim Harrison, you will truly enjoy this!
Everything ....from story, to narrative. THE WORST Audible I have ever downloaded, couldn't make it pas Chapter 4/ part 1...Don't bother! And I listen to at least one book a week, often two!
Hmmmm, not sure....The book was so awful it might have swayed my review
It is devoid of literary quality. It's about as engaging as a Harlequin Romance so if you like that kind of book "Into the Woods" is for you.
The book of Ruth.
Just not a style I enjoy. She seemed to be trying too hard to bring some drama to the stories.
The entire book. This is the first audio book I didn't finish.
Perhaps the target audience is much younger - like early teens. I guess the author jumped on the vampire band wagon, which is not my cup of tea. I should have paid more attention to the description ... I thought it would be an assortment of thrillers rather than multiple repetitions of the same theme.
