Awesome. Simply awesome.

It is quite difficult to put the books down. On a side note I hope they give Phaerun a side book or even a trilogy of his own.

Second book even better then first

If you could sum up Insurrection in three words, what would they be?

Ruthless, funny, combat

Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Previous book in series still a great reader will look for books that she has read

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to listening to the third book this second book really was written well and the reader also made ths a really enjoyable book to listen to

Amazing work

Loved the narrative and narrator. She remembers the certain voices she used for each character and proves to have a Voice Range capable of handling main and NPC and one shot characters.
I've read this collection twice and hearing it read just adds to the excitement of hearing it read.

I was wrong.

for the first book I criticized the reader because the main characters were male and I wasn't used to her voice yet, then I heard her voice for the succubus and realized she's perfect. not to succubus, the reader. from her seductive succubus voice to her commanding high priestess voice and everybody in between. I will listen to more books by this reader because of her voice.

Great book, So so reader.

I have to admit I'm not a big fan of female readers. That said the writing is on par with Salvatore's. So if your a fan I would say it's well worth your time to listen to it.

The British have invaded

Insurrection is the second book in the War of the spider queen series that I have finished. When choosing an audible version, you always run the risk of “the voice” not matching the environment. But I must say, one of the main characters, Pharaun Mizzrym is served well with a voice of a British Aristocrat. The Lolth priestesses are served well by this voice too. Rosalyn Landor does a fine job as the narrator.

As good as the companions of the hall.. better?

I was concerned about straying from the companions of the hall and the events of the overworld.. but this is just as epic. I would have been missing out on an exotic adventure if I hadn't given The War of The Spider Queen a try.

Somewhat hard to get into

While she's slowly growing on me, and I think the narrator Rosalyn is fantastic in her art, (she's very good at diction, pacing, voices, and narrating overall) I'm finding her reading making it difficult for me to get into the story. She makes the books sound way too "Jane Austin" for me. I feel like I'm listening to "Pride and Predjudice" rather than a Forgotten Realms book. Like I said, she's an excellent narrator, but the 19th century English/Irish/Scottish sophisticate accents keep taking me out of the story.
