From New York Times best-selling author Deanna Chase.
Newlyweds Jade Calhoun and Kane Rouquette have barely said "I do" when there's a disturbance in the shadow world that's draining the energy of angels. As shadow walkers, Jade and Kane are pressed into service, tasked with the impossible mission of solving the mystery before any angels are lost - until Kane's accused of poisoning the shadows with his incubus energy and his power is stripped.
Life goes from bad to worse when a lesser Goddess shows up, hell-bent on stealing the spirits of mortals in pursuit of a fountain of youth. Now it's up to Jade and her coven to keep their friends safe, clear Kane's name, and fix the shadows before one of them is lost forever.

Merry meet merry part till merry meet again
He now uses sex for power fighting for souls of those who at risk of being taken by demons, with league of brother, He Learn his craft, as life goes on some things never change, Choas follow those of power, yes always, but man the way they get out of the next troubles made me wish i could stand it to talk faster! cuz WOW i never saw what happen coming at the end!
The story was awesome except for one thing it was kinda all over the place. I love the story between jade and Kane but it's a little weird. He's like ultra protective which is cute and annoying at the same time. Kane's responses to some situations comes off as clingy or its like damn are you new, did you just get here? You know your wife is always a part of some crazy stuff and it's cool to be protective and all but he damn near doesn't let her get the job done.
Yay so Jade and Kane are married and it just keeps getting better or does it ?? I mean seriously they have barely said I Do when complications arise but as long as they are together Jade and Kane can handle anything incubus of bourbon st is funny adventurous and a great read
This was just a fun book. Very entertaining, engaging and enjoyable. All the fun, interesting paranormal characters you could want in a story. Full of Witch's, Spirits, Angels, Demons and Goddesses just to name a few. The story is fast paced with several twists and turns. There is a lot going on. Never a dull moment. There are also some steamy romance scenes.
Great cast of characters.
Although this is book 6 in the series it is the first book that I have listened to. I have definitely been missing out. I really didn't have any trouble following the story. There was enough information on who each person was and what was going on that I didn't feel lost in the story. I would definitely start at the beginning of the series just for the enjoyment of it.
Traci Odom does a great job with the narration as usual. Pleasant voice, easy on the ears. Great character voices. Clearly spoken with a smooth even pace. She makes the characters and story come to life through her narration. Overall a very enjoyable listen.

Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything. - Plato
This is my first book in this series. There are a lot of things going on in the story. I found it a bit hard to follow.
In this book you will find Demons, witches, goddesses, ghosts, souls, and Angels. There is a lot to keep up with.
The story felt like it was jumping around and there were a lot of characters to follow. For some reason it was a bit hard for me to stay focused.
The narrator did a pretty good job.
There is a disturbance in the shadows and Jade & Kane are sent to investigate. Energy is being drained from Angels. Kane's energy seems to be found in the shadows and is polluting it. They strip his powers and start investigating what is going on the shadows.

I listened to audiobooks before they were cool! I read for LibriVox and I adore Stephen Briggs, T.G. Reynolds and Richard Armitage.
I picked this book because it looked like fun - and it was!
The story started with some dark demonic trouble - and changed to a love scene so quickly I was left confused :D I'm used to the hard-boiled supernatural detective Harry Dresden, you see. In Jim Butcher's stories everything goes from dark to darker - so I had to readjust :) Not that the characters in Incubus don't have plenty of trouble to deal with - they just don't forget to live a life while doing it. They're also newlyweds and must do as newlyweds do :D
There was a cliché joke here and there and the narrator needs more practice in doing male voices, but there are fine race-building ideas (Angels are so weird! And you can have a demon as a father!) and I liked the suspense (poor Jade accomplishes something epic, but it's not enough and something else immediately goes wrong...again and again!).
Give this book a read! It's perfect to unwind.

I am addicted to books. Nothing makes me happier than crawling inside a good book.
This book may have been better in print version because this is typically not the kind of book I'd pick to listen to. I did enjoy the story. I first read the first book in this series years ago and thought why not, since I'd enjoyed this first book, but it was a little too much for me.

This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Jade Calhoun series written by Deanna Chase and narrated by Traci Odom. Newlyweds Jade Calhoun and Kane Rouquette have barely said "I do" when there's a disturbance in the shadow world that's draining the energy of angels. As shadow walkers, Jade and Kane are pressed into service, tasked with the impossible mission of solving the mystery before any angels are lost, until Kane's accused of poisoning the shadows with his incubus energy and his power is stripped.
The narrator Traci Odom did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.
If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.
