Publisher's summary

Cassandra Palmer recently defeated a god, which you'd think would buy a girl a little time off. But it doesn't work that way when your job description is Pythia - the world's chief clairvoyant. Cassie is busier than ever, trying to learn about her power, preparing for her upcoming coronation, and figuring out her relationship with the enigmatic sexy master vampire, Mircea.

But someone doesn't want Cassie to become Pythia and is willing to go to any lengths to make sure the coronation ceremony never happens - including attacking her mother before Cassie is even born.

Spend some more time with Cassandra Palmer.

To love or to be in love, That is the question???

What could be harder than killing a god? That would be killing three gods. In Hunt the Moon, Cassie Palmer takes on another fantastical task, namely kill another god (or in this case the god???s representatives). Don???t worry. This is not a repeat of the last book. In this installment of the Cassandra Palmer series, we also learn more about Cassie???s mother and father as well as more about Lord Mircea and John Pitchin. But the burning question still remains: Mircea or Pritchin? In other words, to love or to be in love? It must be ???to be in love???; therefore, it must be Pritchin. Karen Chance has outdone herself with her action-packed plot and witty narrative, and she does a wonderful job with Marco, Jonas Marsden, and Fred. The absolute worst thing about this book is the fact that it is over. I can???t wait for book 6.

I hope for more Cassie

This book was everything I hoped, But who does Cassie really love.....I hope the next book answer some question, like why is Prickin helping Cassie? And who is he really?? Sometimes I feel the writer forget we need some more than a few setence on background of main players in the book, just sayin!!
Start with book 1, you will not be sorry...

Doesn't Disappoint

This book was fast paced, as usual, for Cassie Palmer books. There were a few parts that I felt lagged with drawn out explanations, but then, I like non-stop action.
We had a little of Cassie's back story cleared (I kept wondering when that light bulb would come on over Cassie's head - it took most of the book). Mircea continues to be loving and overbearing and the sexual tension between Cassie and Pritkin gets more intense. The more I get to know Pritkin, the more I like him and hope that Cassie will wake up and realize exactly what she missing. I like Mircea but he seems to spend most of the time trying to keep Cassie safe by trying to lock her up in a gilded cage. I think that the Pritkin/Cassie pairing is more exciting and they are more evenly matched.
Cassie seemed to spend a lot of time naked, dirty or muddy, and bleeding in this book. Poor Pithia just couldn't catch a break.
My biggest problem with this book was, "It's over? NOW? Just how long am I expected to be hanging on this cliff? I need Book 6 YESTERDAY!" But I suppose Cassie needs a little rest before she finds herself in another impossible situation.
Cynthia Holloway is excellent, as usual.
My rating - a solid 5 stars.

Fantastic book in the series

This book is much like the previous in the series. Thankfully, though, it does answer a few big questions before introducing some new ones. If you have all the characters names down pat, then you’re doing great. If you are like I am and get occasionally confused or just blank, get the legal pad ready. We have a few more and some others get new info! I found it totally worth the time tho read it. Don’t start reading the series with this one, though.

Book 5 in the Cassie Palmer series has raised the bar for urban fantasy. Karen Chance never disappoints!

WHOA! This book changes everything, in the best wa

Hunt the Moon is a HUGE turning in the Cassie Palmer series. There are earth shattering revelations in this book. Lots of character development and action. You're left feeling both gobsmacked and a little vindicated at the end. I cannot recommend this series enough!

Entertaining

This book is action packed. From a love triangle to battles and mythical creatures and some very shocking revelations, I was glued to it from start to finish. Excellent world building and character development! The narrator did an awesome job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections and speed of reading for each scene.
