Publisher's summary

Strong telepath Elle Drake has gone missing. Even her six magical sisters cannot find her. They all agree that she is alive and something terrible must have happened or she would have contacted them. Jackson Deveau, a deputy sheriff in the small village of Sea Haven, off the northern California coast, has known that Elle is destined for him. When she disappears, he gathers with his friends, Jonas Harrington and Ilya Prakenskii, and Elle's sisters to find her and bring her safely home. But Sea Haven is no longer safe for any of them and it takes every bit of strength the combination of all the Drakes and their men to survive the coming storm.

Confronting precedence works well

Would you listen to Hidden Currents again? Why?

The ability of the female lead to overcome insurmountable odds in a believable manner was captivating. I have had a great deal of trouble putting this down.

What other book might you compare Hidden Currents to and why?

I enjoy that fact that the Drake books are a series that can also stand alone, each story comes to a satisfactory conclusion.

Love the Drake Sisters Series!

I have read & re-read this series so many times. When I got my B&N Nook, it was the first complete series I bought from Audible. I must have completed this series at least 10 times over the past several years. Every time I listen now, I hear something I missed before. Wish Mrs. Feehan could write more about them. Soon.

Perfect ending to a good series.....

I put off reading this last intallment of the Drake sisters for nearly a year. The reviews were so bad, bordering on scary. I thought I don't need to depress myself and went on to other things. Still I really wanted to know how the Drakes ended up, so I finally gave in and got it yesterday. I just finished. This one was amazing and unique, it was touching, at times painful, it was all the things we all read for. It was the perfect end to a really good series.

Christine Feehan can be repetitive, if I never hear the phrase "They couldn't tell where one ended and the other one began" again in my life it would be too soon. And that phrase, or some form of it does appear in this book but still this book is absolutely my favorite of this series. Elle and Jackson's encounters in books earlier in the series were usually based on misunderstandings, a really tiresome plot device, and that was yet another reason to put off reading this book. Happily that was not the case. Elle and Jackson's relationship is solid, they learn to rely on and respect each other almost from the very beginning of this book. Which makes this book such a nice change from the rest of the books in this series.

A number of loose ends from several of the earlier books get wrapped up in this last installment, always a nice way to end a series. All the sisters and their respect others play prominent roles in this book, which if you haven't read the entire series would make it a bit hard to keep up, however if you have it's a real joy.

If you have read the rest of this series but not this book because of the poor reviews, all I can say is give it a chance, you won't be sorry.

This audio will not disappoint those that have read the series. The narrative's voice went well with the different players in the story.

The Drakes earn their HEA

“The Drake Sisters are back. They’ve all come home to stay.” And so ends the series arc that started with the wind whispering that Sarah was home.
Unfortunately, the whole of the Drake family and friends have to join together to rescue Elle from the well guarded island of the evil shipping magnate Gratsos. She was kidnapped from her last assignment and held against her will while being tortured, assaulted, and nearly broken. It’s graphic enough that I don’t recommend this book for anyone sensitive on the subject.
Jackson understands what Elle has gone through better than anyone due to his own experiences. This leads to their deeper understanding and connection.
When Gratsos uses his own special gifts to locate Elle and attack the Drakes; it takes a Plan concocted by the brainiacs to deal with him in full view of a town full of witnesses.
If you’re interested, this event takes place at the beginning of Feehan’s next related series arc, Water Bound, and you can expect some character cameos.
Bresnahan does an ok job of narration.
