I LOVED Hell's Gift and would listen to it again, simply because the narration was so well done! I felt like I was sitting in as a fly on the wall as all of these events occurred around me.
Troy has an ability to use inflection to draw you into the character's mind and become part of their lives as he moves seamlessly from one chapter to the next. Within just a few chapters I felt like Troy was an old friend. He has a great voice for audible books.
Rhyan protects souls, but can he save his own?
Any reader of paranormal romances and paranormal fantasy books will love Hell's gift. The author does a fantastic job of giving you different point of views without confusing the listener. This will definitely be a book I listen to again!
I am addicted to audiobooks. It makes my 1 hour (each way) commute go by without me becoming an agressive driver. lol
This book is Book 2 in a series and I enjoyed it immensely. It was exciting. The story was complex with a lot of moving parts. However, the overarching theme was really simple. Rhyan finds himself in Hell and has to defeat each of the deadly sin sections of Hell to free himself and his soul mate. This book is full of suspense. It makes your mind work to try to figure out what Rhyan needs to do to complete each quest and outsmart Lucifer. His quests are further challenged by the people/angels around him. Kristie did a great job of touching each of the readers/listeners emotions with this one. The narrator did a great job with this book. He has the right inflection in his voice when it comes to all of our emotions. From fright, injury, love, etc. Looking forward to Book number 3.
I enjoyed this book even more than I think the first one (Save My Soul). It has so many twist and turns and you don’t expect some of the outcomes that happens. It picked up right where the first one left off. It is funny, exciting, fast and playful all at the same time.
This book captured my attention from the beginning to the end and kept me wanting more. Once I started reading it, I didn’t want to put the book down, in fact I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next. This book leaves it open for several more books to happen – which I like. I hope there are several more books that give the stories of several characters – like Thoros, Isiah, Malcomb, Damien, Fallis….so many more that can have their story written. The books just keep getting better and better in my opinion.
Troy Duran did a FANTASTIC job on the voices. Pogo voice made me laugh every time. I don't typically like audible books however Troy did such a great job with the voices, reading, and emphasizing all the emotions that I would have to change my mind to hear him on another book.
I am a romance lover from historical, paranormal, mystery, to erotica. My desire is to discover fantastic books & authors!
Yes I will continue to listen to this audiobook again. I love this story and the voice of Troy Duran is amazing. The story just flowed, from the story line to the voices coming together.
Abigail was my favorite character in this story. In Save My Soul, the first book in this series, my favorite character was Rhyan but Abigail won me over. I still love Rhyan but Abigail literally went through hell in her life for mistakes she made. She held herself responsible for her decisions.
The voices Troy uses are so clear and complete in that there is no misunderstanding who is speaking at any given time. The voice he uses for Lucifer actually gave me goosebumps, it was so unnerving. Inner thoughts are very clear and there is no misunderstanding if there is a break or change in characters.
Would you travel to Hell to bring back the love you didn't know existed?
This was a fantastic book and owning the audiobook is a wonderful addition. This will be an audiobook I will listen to again and again. I highly recommend this book, series and audiobook. I will look for both author K.S. Haigwood and narrator Troy Duran.
My favorite scene in Hell's Gift is when Thoros is introduced, leaning casually on an oak tree.
His voice is very deep, which brings manliness and strength to the many alpha males in the book. I particularly enjoyed his voices for Troy, Pogo, and Miles.
This book was already among my favorites, but now it's an even more thrilling experience with the talented narration. It was the perfect match of talent in this case. Thanks so much, Kristie and Troy, for your exceptional work!
Yes, the way the story is set up and you feel like you are there with the characters. You feel what they feel and their trial and tribulations. The story comes alive and the narration is suburb. I felt like I was with Ryan and Abby through the whole story and experiencing everything with them.
The most memorable was for me was the fact of when they realized who each other were and how their story unfolded. The point of the story of how much they were meant for one another and their story. Also how Jocelyn and her mate meet and cannot understand what is happening to them.
No, I have not but he did an awesome narrative and loved his characters voices, and his voice is soothing.
Hot in Hell
I would say this is a must to your listening enjoyment! The story takes you thorough trials and tribulations and what would you do for love. Would you do and give everything for the love of your life and be able to conquer all and admit and to and forgive things that can bind us.
Wow, I loved all the characters. The author has a great ability to tell a story well. The narrator did a good job reading this too! I loved all the different gods & goddesses & their soul mates & the stories that surround them.
Sorry, there is NO comparison here. KS Haigwood is a 1 of a kind author & does it very well!
I liked listening to him. It was easy enough to follow & he made the characters come to life!
Not extreme, but I did enjoy they story. Following along as Rhyan travels thru the 7 areas of Hell (Lust, Greed, Sloth & so on...) in order to free his soul and that of his soul mate who is also trapped in Hell.
I loved the contract made between Rhyan & Lucifer, thus giving Abigail the ability to turn the table (so to speak) back on Lucifer much of what he had doled out to everyone else! I was amazed following along with Rhyan and see the amount of Love he has for Abigail and he would do anything to save her from Hell. The ending is awesome too!
This amazing story is really brought to life by the narrator's rich and attractive voice. He has the type of voice I could listen to all day!
There was one particularly hot moment that was very memorable, but I won't spoil it by explaining ;)
Rhyan! I <3 Rhyan & Troy really brought him to life!
Yes! Although I had previously read Hell's Gift, I got so caught up in the story and the narrators amazing performance that I listened to almost the whole story again the day i received the audiobook. I was sad that i couldnt finish it that day and had to finish it the next day. Yes, its that good!
At the top. This is one of my favorites.
Rhyan. He is strong. No matter what they threw at him in Hell, he over come it all and more.
When Rhyan got back his memories of Abby, and at the end the scene with Kendra while they were in Hell.
Hell's Gift by K.S. Haigwood is one book you do not want to miss. With crazy twist and turns, this book will have you hooked and on the edge of your seat waiting for more.
From the beginning to the end I was captivated. I love every moment. Rhyan is my favorite character. Every task he completed in Hell, I wanted to give him a huge. And when is was being stupid, I wanted to reach through my kindle and give him a slap.
I am glad I read this book. This has become one of my favorites from K.S. Haigwood. I think all paranormal fans should give this book a read.
Wow! I'm not sure where to start after finishing this audiobook. Hell's Gift is narrated by Troy Duran. He is amazing! I love his reading voice. He doesn't drone on and bore you.
Hell's Gift is the first audiobook I've listened to. I love the book, so to get to hear it through an audiobook was a great experience. It was nice to be able to "read" while driving and at work. I was able to get through this in two days. It is almost 12 hours.
It continues the story of Rhyan and his fall from heaven into the pits of hell. While he is there, he discovers his soulmate is also in hell and will stop at nothing to save her. The story has the original characters from Save My Soul, as well as introducing us to new characters that keep you wanting more. Very well written series and very well read. I can't wait to listen to the rest!

"A Wonderful Paranormal Romance"
This is the second book in the Save My Soul Series. I loved it!
I downloaded this book as an audio book, so that I could listen to it while doing household chores. This audio book was narrated by Troy Duran. I loved his narration. He did a fantastic job! His tone was melodic and smooth, and I found myself drawn into the story more easily. I would definitely listen to more books narrated by him.
Rhyan is a guardian angel. Specifically, Kendra Larkin's from the first book. I liked him from the first time I met him. He has a great sense of duty, and is determined to keep her safe. But his bitterness at losing the woman he loves lands him in Hell.
This book was a delight to listen to. I was told that this story was ten times better than the first one, and I would have to concur! I found the world building and storytelling a lot better than the first book. The story is told through several different points of view, which gave me a better understanding of the actions and motivations of the characters involved. The characters also had more depth to them and were more lifelike. I loved this story so much more because of it.
Abigail is a complex character, who is paying for her past sins. She is now one of the princesses of Hell, and is in charge of one of the seven kingdoms - Greed. She is also Rhyan's soulmate. I wasn't sure if I liked her at first, but as the story unfolded, I found myself feeling sorry for her. I didn't pity her though. She did terrible things, but only to survive in a hostile environment.
Lucifer, on the other hand, was a real piece of work. Although he's the king of Hell, he lets his princes and princesses rule over the seven kingdoms on his behalf. If, for any reason, they did not perform their duties to his satisfaction, his wrath was swift and deadly. He made my skin crawl!
The story is full of action, and I found myself holding my breath as Rhyan made a deal with the Devil to get his soulmate out of Hell. His journey through the seven realms was full of challenges and dangerous pitfalls, but it was the final showdown with Murray (Adam's guardian demon from the first book), which had me sitting on the edge of the seat. There are several twists and turns, but there was one shocking moment that completely threw me, as I didn't see it coming. The end of the story, though, left me feeling happy. I am now wondering if the author will be continuing this series with Jocelyn's and Thoros's story. I guess I will just have to wait and see!
K.S. Haigwood has written a wonderful paranormal romance. I loved her fast paced writing style, and the flow of the story was wonderful. I am fast becoming a fan of hers, and am looking forward to reading her other paranormal series she has published as soon as possible.
Due to scenes of violence, abuse and some explicit sexual scenes, I do not recommend this book to younger readers. However, I recommend this story if you love older YA or erotic paranormal romance genres. - Lynn Worton
