Publisher's summary

A rising star in the fantasy genre, Michael J. Sullivan has built an ardent following for his Riyria Revelations saga, which draws to its epic conclusion in Heir of Novron.

On the holiday of Wintertide, the New Empire plans to burn the Witch of Melengar and force the Empress into a marriage of their own design. But they didn’t account for Royce and Hadrian finally locating the Heir of Novron—or the pair’s desire to wreak havoc on the New Empire’s carefully crafted scheme.

Heir of Novron contains Wintertide and Percepliquis, books 5 and 6 of Riyria Revelations.

But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. The best and most complete story.

I don't write reviews, never have and I probably won't ever again. I don't really care to take the time to tell strangers my opinions or what I read or what I think of a story.
That being said, I give credit where credit is due, And this story has earned it. Each completion of this series builds to the next weaving them together in a flawless continuously cohesive tale, and because of this I do not think of them as separate books that rival each other in their qualitie, causing each to feel as if they are up for debate for which is better than the other. Instead the feeling I was left with after finishing these books was as an epic told in parts by a grandfather each night. as if a story teller of old came out to tell one last story, and the greatest of all his tales. Again I don't mean to be dramatic, but I just wish to express how this tale made me feel. The best part of all great stories is not one part, not the flashing action, the romance, or the idealism of the story. But the tale as a whole, the flow and coherence of the tale that leaves you with the feeling of the teetering balance between wanting more but not wanting to ruin the perfect competition. That feeling of perfect competition is what I wish to express in what is, and will more than likely be, my first and last online review of anything.

Thank you Michael J. Sullivan for this tale. It is a tale I feel honored to have spent the few hours of life we are all given to listen to.

Better every time

Wintertide and Percepliquis are probably my favourite of the series after Avempartha. I have listened to this more times than I can recall. An absolute favourite. Tim Gerard Reynolds executes this performance wonderfully.

A more PG rated GAME OF THRONES type story. Enjoyed it immensely!

Deep, believable characters. Excellent story line which leaves enough room for more to come but is still satisfyingly complete with very little left hanging. Great performance!

Loved it! Enjoyable characters and great story

I'm always excited when a new continuation of a good story comes along. This book was no exception. Just as entertaining as the previous books in this series. The story has been wonderful to follow. The characters are relatable even though they're fantasy. I was drawn in immediately and became very invested in them. I wanted the book to go on forever. It's always like saying goodbye to an old friend when it ends.

Thank you Michael J Sullivan for another engrossing and delightful tale.

Laughed, Gasped & Cried!

it has been a very long time since I have found a series that has completely engulfed my attention. This series has everything and I am truly addicted. It has an amazing plot with many twists and turns and the suspense is just fantastic. The characters are rich and deep in both good and bad attributes. Typically I have to listen to each book twice, because it has so much information that you just have to make sure you are following everything, but it is a good thing I revel in it!

FANTASTIC FINISH

The Heir of Novron was a fantastic finish of the trilogy. Michael J. Sullivan keeps the reader engaged with Royce ,Hadrian , and all the characters, and with a touch of humor for a finishing touch. The way the ending was wrapped up, I was completely satisfied, like having the last bite at the end of a perfect meal. This does not mean that I don't look forward to reading more adventures of Mr. Sullivan's characters. Michael J Sullivan's books will be a automatic purchase for me.

Listened twice

Listened to all the Riyira series twice. I've never read or listened to books anything like this. The closest thing I've come to a story at all similar is watching Lord of the Rings. This was interesting, and the two main characters are worth following. Not something I would recommend to anyone I know, but I'm not an experienced listener or reader of fiction so I don't know how good these series really were.
