Publisher's Summary

War. Here. Now.

Anthony and Katherine had heard of Cyber War before, but never thought they would have to figure out how to live through it taking down the grid.

Chaos comes fast as people quickly realize the world has changed for good. But the battle also brews for Kat and Tony as they struggle with deciding whether to stay or go.

Will they bug in and try to make things work in the city? Or will they leave in time to make it out, away from the mayhem?

Tony and Kat learn the hard way that there is no such thing as safe in the new world they live in. But there is hope in new friends that no longer are strangers.

As they try to navigate their new surroundings, it's only a matter of time before they have to make a stand.

Would you consider the audio edition of Grid Attack Cyber War - The Trilogy to be better than the print version?

Didn't read the book, received the audio version for free to review.
Very well done narration, 2 narrators one male and one female fit the book perfectly since it's told from two viewpoints male and female

    Any additional comments?

Great survival story based on a something that could easily happen tomorrow morning or next week.

"Two out of three ain't bad"

I enjoyed this book very much the dual narration was excellent the story was wonderful the characters were very well developed. It is a little simplistic but perfect for someone who is wanting to delve in to this kind of book. The only reason that I did not give it five stars was that book 3 was completely and totally unbelievable to me. Up until book 3 I found it to be totally believable and completely reliable but I met Ralph all bets are off. I loved his character but the ending is completely unbelievable to me.
I received this book at no cost to me from the author narrator or publisher for a honest review

    "Short, but Sweet!"

The combination of story along with the excellent narration and alternating points of view made this audio book very entertaining. I believe that this book would make a good introduction to friends and family members that haven't realized the need for being prepared!

    "Good post apostolic novel"

The narration takes a different focus by taking alternative chapters between the two main characters of a husband and his wife journeying through a path to find safety after a life altering event. The novel is a little simplistic as to how they implement their survival but the narration focus on the different views of the two characters as event develop.
This is a very enjoyable novel and I would recommend it for a good listen but falls short of a how to survive an disaster if that is the book you are looking for. I would recommend it and think you will enjoy the character development.

I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

    "SIMPOC sometimes gets abit much"
Would you try another book from Emerson Hawk and/or Kevin Pierce and Becket Royce ?

Perhaps. They need a good editor, as sometimes they get "in the woods" with tech speak and repetition.
That said, the overall quality between author and performer is very good, and I may revisit the relationship at some point.

What did you like best about this story?

The level of thought and detail in the premise is highly compelling.

    Which scene was your favorite?

SIMPOC coming "alive" ( self aware ? ) is fascinating.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Maybe on streaming Amazon on Roku

    Any additional comments?

Good offering for the genre ( end of times/AI conflict ) and worth the credit, esp. for this version.

"Will leave you pondering the topic for days"

The topic of a cyber attack is in the news almost daily, and this book brings the repercussions of a successful attack on the electrical grid to reality. The story looks into the lives of average people who live through a cyber attack that takes down the electric grid
for a temporary although prolonged period of time, the breakdown of civil behavior, the kindness of some people - the stress that comes with constant vigilance, the unknown duration of the event. This book is written well, the author does a good job of building empathy for the characters and there is some action and suspense that is gripping enough to keep you listening - the BUT comes here, the book does go by the numbers somewhat so if you are a veteran of the genre it may get a bit routine at times. That said it is in the upper half of books of this genre and the topic is an important one to think about in these times, so I would recommend this book, if you are a fan of the genre it will be a fun read, if you are new to the genre this will be a very fun book to check out.
    Recommended.

"A different take on PA fiction"
Who was your favorite character and why?

The husband and wife team and the old doctor

Which character – as performed by Kevin Pierce and Becket Royce – was your favorite?

The Husband and Wife perspectives were an interesting trade off while listening and can break up the sometimes monotonous story line.

"I'm not sure what I think"

Maybe this book is worth the listen as I honestly do not know what I think of the book so you should give it a try to see what you think. The dual narration was interesting and the cyber warfare plot was at times gripping, but sometimes seemed a little long. I do think it might fit in nicely if you are in the Tom Clancy mode and want to hear a well-read book.

    "Enjoyable, different and believable"

This book by Emerson Hawk is a good trilogy. The characters are good and although I expected the two narrators almost alternative narration of chapters to be annoying - not sure why but I prefer one narrator - yet I enjoyed the difference. Kevin Pierce's narration is good. Becket Royce is good too.

The story is believable and although I found the trilogy short the detail and interest kept is excellent.

This is not a heavy violent book although the violence is there. It is in my view a good listen. A well written story. Enjoy.

    "Too many narrators"

Kevin pierce is the best narrator in the business. Not sure why Ms Royce was added to the mix. She was ok, but I would rather have Pierce. Story was ok but the ending was a little superficial.
