Great story and narration!

I loved this book. It kept me wondering what was going to happen next. I can't wait to read the next one!

Entertaining

I would have given this book five stars but I do think 2 credits is to much. I wasn't happy when I saw this go on sale for 5 dollars. Though good for those whose timing was better.

The narration was good; though it took me a short bit to get into it. (I also think she gets better as the book and series progresses.

The story was good and moved along. Sometimes the motivations of the characters was surprising, but not so much so it took away from the story. There were interesting things that went on but the focus was Harper the main character.
I always liked x-files except that sometimes it went to far with the creepy stuff. This story had just the right balance. All in all for me this was a good choice even having to use (2) credits.

narrator ??

The story was good, but could have been better if it didn't sound like the narrator was reading a book. She didn't show much emotion and just blandly read the page. It pretty much ruined the book for me. I've listened to snipets of her reading other audiobooks and some sound ok and others are just like this one. I'm very disappointed.

Cam ER ON!

Fun series, great reader. my only issue is the fact that Cameron should really only have two syllables, especially if you're going to say it that often!

love the story, hate the narration. males sound whiny and high pitch, cadence sucks. it makes it really hard to stay with the story

Good story line...Not so good narration

Bought this book a little oveer 3yrs ago, but didn't remember much past the first chapter...now I'm in the home stretch and finding it diffucult not to stop with the few remaining hours. The story is good, but the lack of dimension of the narrator is killing it. I could listen to Mia Barron, as she does have a good voice, if it weren't for her inability to 'do' the side characters. The voice of the boy 'Cam' is almost more than I take as I have never enjoyed listening to anyone talk in a 'whiney, can't get the frog out of your throat' voice.
This is the reason I have not bought the rest of the books in this series. Maybe if they changed the narrator, I would reconsider.

The narrator should be called a voice actor.

I don,t think I would have enjoyed this book if had been read by anyone else. Each of the female parts sounded like a different reader. The male voices Not so much. My favorite character was Lady Guendalin of Anorexia. This resembles The Dresden Files only a female version.

Started off a bit slow, but quickly grabbed me.

I sort of wish there was a bit pre romance, but that’s not what this story is about. I love a strong, interesting female protagonist & this has it. We’ll read. Had a bit of a lag grabbing me, but didn’t take long for me to fall in love with this story & character.

Interesting start

This book was a bit slow but it seems to have potential as a series. It will be interesting to see how the author develops the characters. However, the narrator isn’t the best I still enjoyed their personalities. I’m hopeful for the next entry in this series.
