Publisher's summary

Mercy Thompson returns in the seventh novel in the number-one New York Times best-selling series.

Mercy Thompson's life has undergone a seismic change. Becoming the mate of Adam Hauptman—the charismatic Alpha of the local werewolf pack—has made her a stepmother to his daughter, Jesse, a relationship that brings moments of blissful normalcy to Mercy's life. But on the edges of humanity, what passes for a minor mishap on an ordinary day can turn into so much more....

After an accident in bumper-to-bumper traffic, Mercy and Jesse can't reach Adam—or anyone else in the pack for that matter. They've all been abducted.

Through their mating bond, all Mercy knows is that Adam is angry and in pain. With the werewolves fighting a political battle to gain acceptance from the public, Mercy fears Adam's disappearance may be related—and that he and the pack are in serious danger. Outclassed and on her own, Mercy may be forced to seek assistance from any ally she can get, no matter how unlikely.

Love this series

These characters have a sense of humor which is so important to me. It's a great balance of conflict with snark.

Steamy Paranormal Series

WooHoo!! I adore this series and it just gets better and better with each book!! There is just so much going on in this book that you are kept on the edge of your seat the whole time!! The pacing was beautifully done and the storytelling once again top notch!!

Mercy is like a magnet for trouble and this book brings many things to a head in a short period of time. The whole thing happens in the span of like three days! Mercy as always is kick but and steps into the fray to save those she loves. Perhaps not wise with some of her decisions, like using the new expensive car of the vampire queen who really doesn't like you. What are a few dings between frenimies, right?

Love the sections where is is from Adam's POV. Really great to hear his thoughts! It is fascinating to get that glimpse into his mind.

Lots of old friends and not so friends dropping by in this book. Awesome covered in awesome sauce and a side of fabulous!! My how the things are developing with the Fey and events from the last Alpha & Omega book. The Sh!t really did hit the fan!

Gotta say Mercy is a bit slow on the uptake at times. Some things were really obvious and she was the last to clue into them. Also she is a tad in denial about the whole my dad is a god thing she learned in the last book. It will be very interesting to see how things develop for her in coming books.

Warning there are a few super emotional scenes!! Really had me in tears at one point!

Sigh, how long do I have to wait for the next book? This is why I waited so long to read this book! No patience!

Ending got confusing

Would you listen to Frost Burned again? Why?

Yes I would listen to it again. The end was confusing I think it was out together out of order

Who was your favorite character and why?

In this book I liked Wolf best. Although he was in the story for just a small while his role was very important in the outcome of the entire story. He is a complex character with his own agenda but does what is best for the whole not always for himself.

What about Lorelei King’s performance did you like?

Love her preformance as always

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did tear up when the pack lost Peter

Much Better Than Last book

Don't get me wrong, I liked the last book in Patricia Briggs' Mercy Series. It is just that for some reason or another, Mercy is always a little better when Adam and her are separated for some of the story. With this book you get it all. Mercy at her finest . Solving the most complex situations.
My only complaint, is that I wish Adam and Mercy's sex scenes where a little more detailed. I would like to know what they were thinking. All and all great bool. Well worth the credit.
