I'm not sure if it was the narrator or the writing that was more...childish?
I went back and forth during the book as to what made this seem likes a kids book, the childish behavior of the characters or the narrator's performance...
I wouldn't say it was a bad book or a poor performance, it wasn't...it just didn't make it all the way to good.
The author could have given a better backstory, instead it seemed to skip the first two chapters and start on the third...it probably got cut in editing.
Story was engaging and easy to follow. Nice story line of what I listened to. Could not finish. I would like to try another of Colleen's books but not with the same reader.
No! She ends every sentence on a down note. Could not finish because it drove me crazy. What I did listen to I split into parts.
