Great series. Finishes it all off nicely

No reason not to read it if you haven't skipped the first 5 books. Not too much time spent on recaps, which is great.

awesome series

just finished this series. it was suggested by a friend who told me this was a dare for the author. I really enjoyed it. would have liked to have tarogo meet his grandson but other than that it was pretty perfect.

Loved this book and the storyline

I enjoyed the whole series and even though this is fantasy at it's finest, there is a message that you should never give up! You can incorporate daily life with the struggles Tavi faced and how you choose to deal with them, with or without powers.
i could go on and on about the book, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to stop writing. Just get this book and sit back and enjoy the gifted story telling of Kate Reading and the unquestionable writing of Jim Butcher.

wonderful and intense story

I wish there was more. this has been an exceptional series. I will read again many times. if you feel like it Mr. Butcher, I sure wouldn't mind some additional side stories to this series. I'm sure I'm not alone in that :-)

Loved the book. Needs new recording.

Just finished this series today and I absolutely loved it!! Only issue is the recording skips quite a bit through out the whole series.... especially in the last 4-5 hrs in the last book.

amazing finish

Jim Butcher had become one of my top authors next to C.S. Lewis, Tolkien and R.A. Salvatore. He does an incredible job creating a world unique and immersive. I find myself wanting to be there learning to use my furies (water, metal, earth)

Kate Reading is one of my favorite female narrators. She does another great job w/ this series. My one complaint t which has run the spectrum of the Codex Alera is the editing that splices in the trumpet calls at odd times.

satisfied

I have enjoyed all of Jim Butcher's work. This is no exception. The plot is moved along with plenty of action and enough character development to show that in almost every case even the villains had a touch of humanity.
