Martin and his friends discovered that their world is computer generated and that by altering the code, they could alter reality. They traveled back in time to Medieval England to live as wizards. Almost everything they've done since then has, in one way or another, blown up in their faces.

So of course they decide to make dragons. It does not go well.

As the wizards struggle to control their creations and protect innocent citizens, they try new things (most of which they don't enjoy), meet new people (most of who are angry at them), and fight epic battles (most of which they lose).

But their biggest challenge may be a young girl who knows that the wizards created the dragons and is determined to make them pay. On her side she has powerful allies, a magical artifact, and a faithful if not particularly helpful dog.

Fight and Flight is a rollicking tale of bravery, wonder, love, revenge, greed, discovery, deception, and animal husbandry.

We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. I really enjoy this series. It is just fun an entertaining. This book is not quite as fun as the last but still quite enjoyable.

great series

While entertaining, this entry in the Magic 2.0 series is by far the weakest. Production and performance are both good, but it was a let down after the first few books. It takes a while before things get going, and even after that it feels like there's really nothing at stake, so it's hard to care about the outcome.

Weakest in the series thus far

I think this is the third best book in the series. The first two are the best. Like the last one it doesn't feel entirely satisfying as this books plot is fairly weak. However characterization is good, the world is good and the writing is good, even great at many points. However the cliff hanger gives hope that book 5 could be a return to the form of the first two. Books 3 and 4 are like a soap opera of the characters and situation setup in the first two which are more like great movies.

Another worthy instalment in the series.

it was ok. Wasn't quite as good as the ones that came before it. Still enjoyable though.

Not as good as the others
