Publisher's summary

Terry Goodkind, author of the enormously popular Sword of Truth novels, has forged perhaps his best yet, pitting Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell against threats to the freedom of the world. They both must struggle at opposite ends of the earth against the relentless, monolithic forces of the Imperial Order.

A Sister of the Dark captures Richard and takes him deep into the Old World, to the very heart of the Order, while his beloved Kahlan remains behind. Free because of Richard's sacrifice for her, but unwilling to abandon the cause of the Midlands, Kahlan violates not only prophecy but her last pledge to Richard, and raises an army against the advancing horde of the Imperial Order. Separated and fighting for their lives, Richard and Kahlan will be pushed to the limits of their endurance and tested in their love for one another.

Once again, the master storyteller weaves a riveting spell that will captivate even more fans for this incredible series.

Epic edge: listen to more in the Sword of Truth series.

Critic reviews

"Notable for its engaging secondary characters, the novel also evinces flashes of sly wit....Goodkind's ingenious world-building will keep readers captivated." ( Publishers Weekly)
"Kenneth's narration follows the intensity of the plot through battles and hardship, as well as dreams of love and caring human relationships. With Kenneth as guide, this book never lags." ( AudioFile)

But Zed’s Voice!!!

Great story, but really Zeds voice was atrocious he sounded like he was going to fall apart. Needs to go back to book 1. He’s had a couple different voices Throughout the series but this is by far the worst. Painful to listen to. Everything else was amazing and this is one of the better books in the series.

my favorite book of the series

By far Terry Goodkind's best work in my opinion. I enjoyed reading this shortly after highschool and now listening to it again later in life leaves profound feelings. I can't express enough what this book means to me.

My favorite of the series so far!

For me this was the most compelling and entertaining book from start to finish of the series up to this point. The storytelling flows smoothly and keeps you wanting more! This is Richard at his best, inspiring and being a source of hope, and unintentionally bringing about a massive change in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people!

The best sword of truth book so far!! Damn good!!!

If you could sum up Faith of the Fallen in three words, what would they be?

Never give up!!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Richard,he always does the right thing.and then he will cut your hart out!!!! That BOY is BAD!!

Which character – as performed by John Kenneth – was your favorite?

Victor the blacksmith, his voice is the way I would have imagined him and it made the character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

At the end when Richard and Kahlan meet after a year,that is what keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Any additional comments?

I think this was the worst voice for Zed so far,Zed should always sound the same.not goofy!! But all in all this was a great book and it makes me want to finish the rest of the series. And I will,6 down a couple more to go!!!

Fantastic - Emotional - Well Read!

I found myself laughing, crying and yelling "Oh Yea!" many times while listening to this book. John Kenneth was exceptional bringing emotions to the forefront. Sure, you knew what was going to happen, but it was well written and well performed. I enjoyed it immensely

outstanding

This book redeemed itself from soul of fire. Absolute outstanding from start to finish. The only problem I had "to me" was the narrator making zed sound like a dying old man. His voice for him was terrible. Other than that he did a good job with the rest. Very happy with this book, look forward to the next!

Best of the lot, so far

Nice elements here:
* Character development
* A redemption theme
* Some nice lessons on poverty, society, personal responsibility, and government
* Very engaging

This may be my favorite

This may actually be my favorite book in the series. I was annoyed in the beginning but the character development was interesting and it had a emotional message.
