Publisher's summary

The Kennedy stares into the abyss

The world's last floating nuclear supercarrier looks into the face of oblivion as her thinned, exhausted, and beleaguered crew face the largest herd of dead ever recorded. Soon the ship's five-acre flight deck will become the scene of a furious and desperate set-piece battle - like no combat any modern army has seen since Stalingrad. The ranks of the dead are infinite, and those of the living are tiny, depleted, and running out of time...and of hope.

The abandoned run ahead of the storm

Surrounded, cut off, and left for dead, Wesley's band of sailors and survivors race ahead of the city-devouring swarm, desperate for a way off the land. Air strikes and shore bombardment threaten to vaporize them at any instant. The inlet onto which they flee is surrounded on all sides and filling up fast, and the least hesitation will get them all killed, infected, devoured - or all three at once.

The operators jump into mouth of hell

Having already dodged a hundred deaths by inches, the operators of Alpha team and MARSOC now fly into two converging storms of unspeakable violence and must parachute in and reinforce the Alamo - the hopeless and doomed defense of the carrier. A thousand things must go right for them to have a prayer of survival. But it's the job of the operators to succeed even when a million things go wrong....

Ride the human spirit to its utmost limit in the most terrifying and thrilling Arisen book yet: Arisen, book five - Exodus.

It keeps getting better.

Any additional comments?

I love, love, love this series.

Forget that this is a zombie book. It's an extremely well written story with believable characters and the best narrator in the business. Each new installment gets better and better. The action walks a fine line where it never feels too over the top and never gets redundant, it's just balls to the wall intense. If you've not listened to this series then you're missing out. Each book picks up right where the last one ended, so you need to start at the beginning, but you will not regret it. The only thing wrong with the Arisen books is that they're too short and there's never enough of them. They're like the audio version of crack.

Non Stop Action!

I found myself holding my breath through most of this book. It was quite a fun thrill ride. My here are only 11 days until Book 6 is available on Audible, but I seriously cannot wait that long. When I saw that there were 8 books in this series plus two companion books, a sequel and one other, I was simply grateful.

This is my new favorite series!

Seriously good series....

Who was your favorite character and why?

The characters are what makes this series. The Zombies are just backdrops to a fascinating, interesting incredibly human cast of rich characters.

What about R.C. Bray’s performance did you like?

For me, pitch perfect. Authentic.

Absolutely riveting!

I have never listened to or read a book that keeps me on the edge of my seat like this series and I've listened to literally hundreds. Fuchs and James and RC Bray have nailed it. Hands down the best Zombie Apocolypse series on the market and one of the best military Sci Fi series as well. Characters you root for, non stop action - and I mean that; the Zombies are virtually unstoppable. Start at the beginning and work your way forward, it only gets better with each installment.

Big fight

Here's the big fight for the carrier, and pretty much nothing else, action, action, action all the way. Funny how I kept thinking, how silly, just run away on the destroyer. Then half way through it's explained the destroyer is just too small for everyone.
Not much else goes on here, just millions of zombies vs a carrier, well written action book. Oh, and my favorite character is Emily. Her part is so insignificant but she is adorable. Excellent narration as usual.

Best Installment Yet of the Arisen Series !!

If you've made it to Book 5 of the Arisen series then I am assuming your a fan of this ZA epic and also of RC Bray's brilliant narration.

Simply put, I think that Book 5 is the best installment of the series. The action is non-stop and yet does not strain credibility.

Like the previous books in the Arisen series, the attention to plot details and narrative continuity is superb as is the on-going character development.

It's rare that any multi book series can sustain my interest and continue to provide legitimate plot and character development that entertains and surprises. Arisen Exodus does all of this, and with real style !

12 hours of no suspense

Exodus: Arisen is basically 1 long battle scene. Not that the previous books were literary masterworks but they always kept moving along and new challenges and risks were always there. That really wasn't the case with this book as it dropped the other story lines and only followed a single battle. RC Bray kept it interesting but otherwise this is the weakest entry in this series.
