Publisher's summary

Angel Crawford is finally starting to get used to life as a brain-eating zombie, but her problems are far from over. Her felony record is coming back to haunt her, more zombie hunters are popping up, and she’s beginning to wonder if her hunky cop-boyfriend is involved with the zombie mafia. Yeah, that’s right—the zombie mafia. Throw in a secret lab and a lot of conspiracy, and Angel’s going to need all of her brainpower—and maybe a brain smoothie as well—in order to get through it without falling apart.

Makes my work day a breeze

I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment to the Angel Crawford series. the narrator does do some Meh male voices but they aren't the worst I've heard. The writing is the exact kind of casual that I need while going about my day not to mention the humor. I know many people with Angels personality and life sans the zombie thing so I feel I can relate to her struggle to overcome her past.

White Trash Zombies, Book 2

Loved this book as much as the first! Narrator does a fabulous job and book has plenty of humor to distract from the serious issues!

White Trash Zombies Rule

Great follow on to book 1. Story, writing, narrator are all top notch! Already started book 3. Only thing that kind of irks me is the cover art for the entire series. Its very well done, but the image of the young city dwelling punk rock woman (circa 1980s) is the furthest thing from southern Louisiana white trash (Angel - the main character in the book) that I can think of. Also, the woman on the cover looks nothing like Angel as described by the author. I get it that sexy sells and all but perhaps the artist could have tried to be more true to the character description and location. That aside, the books are a fun and entertaining spin on the Z genre. Read them.

Good laughs. Great Story.

OMG - I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Finally, a heroine with a dirty mouth and a disposition as snarky as mine! I really liked her. There were plenty of one-liners that were just hilarious... What did the zombie say to the prostitute???? Hee hehehe. Also, I liked the narrator. She's feels like Angel. Nice choice!

I definitely will be reading more!

Love these stories! The premise is super entertaining and unique. This performer is exactly what the story needed to make it even better. Good job!

Forgot most of it, but remembered Angel

Ahhh... I left the review too long after finishing the book. I don't recall the details of the story, but I do recall that I enjoyed it well enough that I bought the next book in the series for full price on Audible.

Angel, however, is unique enough a character that I can recall the premise of the book... this is unlike most zombie and urban fantasy books where the protagonists all seem to have the same voice and the same problems. And, yes, this book is an urban fantasy more than it is a zombie book, even though it contains zombies.

It is a different take on the zombie story, and, while maybe not so much a different take on the female protagonist out to solve the "issue", it will not immediately fall into the "yes, just another urban fantasy pile of books mishmash" in your head.

The narration is good. It is not gory, and not really about zombies.
