Saphira voice is terrible
I love these books but the Saphira voice is terrible and almost comical at times. I wish there was a different audiobook version.

Dragon voice is obnoxious
I have read all of these books in print and got this audiobook to share the story with my kid. I like the narrator mostly except for when he portrays the dragon voice. The narrator choose a deep gravelly voice for the dragon which is absurd. First because it is a female and second because the dragons in this book speak mind to mind, no voice involved. It is pretty distracting and sounds like a bad cartoon character. There are better ways to express a large animal “voice” to portray the regal alien character.

Loved the book, but the narrator needs some work.
I loved the book and it brought me back to when I read it as a younger kid. My biggest issue with the book is how the narrator voices Saphira. Ive always imagined her voice similar to how the movie voiced her and the narrator makes her sound like Yoda with an even deeper and gruffer voice. it just made me cringe whenever Saphira talked and I heard that. Other than that the narrator was fine and pleasant to listen to. And Ive always loved this book series, I really look forward to listening to the later books.
