In this seductive follow-up to Poison Princess, New York Times best-selling author Kresley Cole takes us deeper into the dark world of the Arcana Chronicles.
With threats lurking around every corner, Evie is forced to trust her newfound alliance. Together they must fight not only other Arcana, but also Bagmen zombies, post-apocalyptic storms, and cannibals.

Busy mom who loves to read but doesn't always have the time. I enjoy YA, Romance and the occasional Best Seller.
Well Kresley Cole does it again! Another thrilling, sexy, fun, romantic adventure and one outstanding sequel. I never thought the 2nd book would ever come close to Poison Princess but much like her IAD series they just keep getting better and better. This story has so many twists and turns and “I didn’t see that coming” moments. I was literally on the edge of my seat for the entire listen.
The world building, character development and plot twists are pure genius. Nothing feels contrived or forced just to move the plot along. Endless Knight has a lot more action and is a little darker than the first book. The Arcana are starting to form alliances as battle lines are drawn in a fight to the death. Throw in some bagmen, militia and cannibals and you have a non-stop, thrilling adventure.
Definitely a 5 star listen!
Fiction: I like Young Adult, Historical, Fantasy, Romance, Classics. Non-Fiction: I like Historical, Military, Memoirs.
Nail-biter (that's one word, right?), steamy, surprising. Or maybe "Your Death awaits"?
There are so many...I can't narrow it down to just one! Endless Knight is cover-to-cover action. Without giving any spoilers, my favourite moment comes towards the end of the book, when Evie learns just how skilled Death really is. Wow. In fact, I loved almost all of the interaction between Evie and Death in the second half of the book.
Other memorable moments include meeting new Arcana (both friend and foe), Evie going hardcore Empress and coming into her powers, and Jack and Evie "checking the perimeter".
Emma Galvin is one of my favourite narrators. I wouldn't have discovered Poison Princess (the predecessor to Endless Knight) if I hadn't been so impressed with her other audio performances and sought out audiobooks narrated by her. She makes the story come alive.
Yes! I nearly did too.
The world that Kresley Cole has built for Endless Knight (and the first book in the series, Poison Princess), from the tarot card players (Arcana) to the post-apocalyptic world, is fascinating.
I would have given the story five stars but the cliffhanger ending was too abrupt for my liking. I like suspense and I understand that it builds anticipation for the next book, but it left me feeling like the book was unfinished.
And for adults wondering if Endless Knight is age-appropriate, other than the ages of the main characters, I wouldn't even classify this as young adult. There's way more sexual content than I'd feel comfortable letting my teen read, but I loved it. Is it hot in here?
Paranormal-urban fantasy book lover!
I've waited a year for this book to get here and now I am riding a high of many emotions. Kresley threw us a curveball with this book. There were at least 3 times, maybe more, that I had to stop and say "OMG, SERIOUSLY??" And then rewind and listen again.
Emma does an amazing job narrating and this book is perfection. This is definitely a book you will have to read.
Do I have to wait another year for the last book???
No, I actually read most of the book. I'm not sure if it's because the previous audiobooks I listened to (Susan Ericksen in the In Death series) are excellent hence the comparison and I found the narration for this book lacking.
I couldn't distinguish who is speaking, when Evie is thinking or speaking aloud. So to give justice to the book I had to read it instead.
Reviewing Romance & Urban Fantasy
Cole is a master at delivering a dark and interesting dystopian world and I can’t get enough of it.
“Cannibals need love too.”
“Death wants to gank me. Must be Tuesday.”
Emma Galvin has the prefect voice for this series. She has a young and smokey voice that allows her to pull of both the female and male characters.
What I liked:
I’m not a huge YA reader and one of the things I love about Endless Knight is that it doesn’t feel like YA. Cole weaves a very compelling story of romance, action and mythology around the arcana to satisfy even non YA readers. Even though this world Cole has build is very dark she lightens it with great secondary characters and their snarky humor and she pulls off the YA romance without all the angst you get with some YA books. Sure there is a love triangle forming in Endless Knight but it’s a believable one that you would find in an adult novel.
Cole also does an amazing job with making me fall in love with the “evil” guy. And that’s hard to take a character that is seen as evil and turn him around to where you sympathize with him and want him to have a HEA.
The Arcana game is in full swing and Cole imagination is limitless and I’m in awe of the world and characters she has crafted.
What I didn’t like:
Having to wait for the next book.
I’ll still be thinking about this book for a few more weeks.
Will I continue this series: Yes. A thousand times yes!
Would I read this author again:
YES! I love her adult PNR series, Immortals After Dark and now this series. I will read ANYTHING that has Cole’s name on it!
Loved Poison Princess, and this book is better. It has more action and more characters. I listened to it in two days. And now I am pissed because I have to wait forever for book 3. I love the twists and turns that take place with Jack and Evie, and then with Death and Evie. It definitely goes in a direction I wasn't expecting - but I loved it! Love love love Emma Galvin too.
Oh My God
Endless Knight stands alone. Kresley Cole played with all my emotions and I loved it.
Ms. Galvin brought the book to life. Evie and Jack were so amazing.
Love, Hate and Tears...
Highly recommend Endless Knight.
I love the characters, action and imagination.
Evie of course!
I don't think this book could have been performed by any other than Emma. She is a one of a kind!
I was a bit taken back that this book was for young readers. It was a bit steamy in parts that I thought was not suited for young ears. I am so torn between the two guys!!!!
Ended with a torn emotions!!!! What a cliff hanger. Can't wait for the next book!!!!!!
Not quite as fulfilling as the first book in the series but still worth while. The narrator still rocks!
Amazon Power Reader
Great story. Cole is an excellent writer and did a fabulous job of ushering the reader into an entirely new set of conflicts for the protagonist. Couldn't stop listening. . . and then came the end. The end was rushed, chaotic and conflicted with all of the carefully established character development just tossed out of the window for no reason, as far as I could tell. That being said, while the end was a let down, a big one, because I had become so invested in the outcome, the story is still worth a credit. If this were a stand-alone book, then I would say, save the credit. Fortunately, there is more to come for the characters; it is, therefore, to be hoped that the author won't get tired of developing conflict and forcing the protagonist through difficult decisions. I'm eager to see what comes next. I am also hopeful that the author will pull the protagonist back on track. Cole's writing is superior, so hopefully, all of that teenage angst stuff was just a momentary blip in a modern tale of fate gone awry.
"Cliffhanger or what??"
I love Kresley Cole's style of writing, her characters, the story everything.....
It was exciting, it had plenty of twists and unexpected happenings, I really had no idea where it would end up.
Jack - without a doubt - her accent is just great
I just hope Kresley is busy writing the next one!!!!!!!
