Publisher's summary

Orson Scott Card returns to his best-selling series with a new Ender novel, Ender in Exile.

At the close of Ender's Game, Andrew Wiggin - called Ender by everyone - is told that he can no longer live on Earth, and he realizes that this is the truth. He has become far more than just a boy who won a game: he is the Savior of Earth, a hero, a military genius whose allegiance is sought by every nation of the newly shattered Earth Hegemony. He is offered the choice of living in isolation on Eros, at one of the Hegemony's training facilities, but instead the 12-year-old chooses to leave his home world and begin the long relativistic journey out to the colonies. With him went his sister Valentine, and the core of the artificial intelligence that would become Jane.

The story of those years has never been told...until now.

The story and the characters were true to Ender's Game. I love to read anything in the Enderverse and Card does an excellent job in this book.

An absolutely outstanding book

What is there to say. If you have read Ender's Game you already have an idea of what the story is all about. It is an expanded version of the final chapters of that book. That said, I loved this audiobook, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any of the Ender Wiggins saga. I was riveted by the narrators' outstanding performances. They cost me many hours of much needed sleep, but it was so very worth it. If you liked Ender's Game you will like Ender in Exile.

keep em coming.

Feels more and more real with each installments. having the middle of a characters story so fleshed out long after I am aware of his end point has been unexpectedly enriching. The chronology of the information we get of this character verses the characters time line, in a ways makes the ideas of relativistic effects more conceptually palpable. Another delight. can't wait for the next.

Speechless.

Unbelievable how this book tied so many disparate pieces together. It took great effort to think back and fit the timeline and facts in place.

Excellently entertaining

Like stories spanning such time, it reads like a couple short stories. I love it.

It's an interesting opportunity.

I'm a huge O.S.C. to see a mid series sequel prequel book release years after book 1 and 2 was interesting. So I guess this makes Enders Exile book 1.5 in the Enderverse. Although this isn't a bad read its not a very exciting one either. This is the story of Enders journey to Colony Shakespeare and the possible run in with Commander Bean's archenemy Achilles de Flandres son. Non the less I enjoyed this book but I feel this book wasn't 100% necessary to enjoy the series.

Card continues to amaze

By making stories that are both believable and part of an intricate universe of compelling characters.
This was my second read of the story, and I forgot how seamlessly he manages to tell two stories in one greater novel. I'm very much planning on re-reading Investment Counselor after Exile.
I love the full cast performance media for reading his stories. There's something special that happens when a voice actor brings a character to life by instilling a part of their own being into the performance.

Excellent, in all aspects.
