Amazing story. Bizarre performance?
Maybe not bizarre, but certainly a difficult to follow. You have the Narrator, and then you have a cast of voice actors playing various roles… But all at the same time. The narrator will speak The Baron’s words, and then a voice actor, using an entirely different accent and timbre will speak some more of the same character’s words, and then back to the narrator.
It’s wasn’t bad, or I certainly wouldn’t have given it 4 stars, but it’s definitely something to consider before diving in.

entertaining overall
wonderful story, voice acting was good when it was consistent but there were several times when the narrator voiced characters who had their own designated actor (primarily the Baron) and then would switch abruptly. made it a little confusing at times but if you've never read Dune this is a good option.

So good. Leaves you wanting next Book and wanting movie next
I really liked the plot the way of storytelling and the narration was great. Definitely left me wanting to watch the next film out for doom coming soon. Also will for sure continue with break Hebert‘s second in the series. Nice and long to see you feel it was worth the audible credits.

Great narration!
Overall really enjoyed the narration for a classic. Though sometimes found it confusing that some chapters had the single narrator and others had different voice actors for different characters. Didn’t seem like there was rhyme or reason as to why. Both were good, though would have preferred they stuck to one approach.

Inconsistency of narration
I loved the book but didn’t like how the narration alternated between a single narrator and a cast for no apparent reason. If you have a cast, then they should do the whole book. There were also random pauses with wind sounds in weird places, like in the middle of a conversation.
