He vowed he'd come for her...

Murdered before he could wed Regin the Radiant, warlord Aidan the Fierce seeks his beloved through eternity, reborn again and again into new identities, yet with no memory of his past lives.

She awaits his return...

When Regin encounters Declan Chase, a brutal Celtic soldier, she recognizes her proud warlord reincarnated. But Declan takes her captive, intending retribution against all immortals - unaware that he belongs to their world.

To sate a desire more powerful than death...

Yet every reincarnation comes with a price, for Aidan is doomed to die when he remembers his past. To save herself from Declan’s torments, will Regin rekindle memories of the passion they once shared - even if it means once again losing the only man she could ever love?

He's Not Bad - He's Just Brainwashed

In a daring twist with the series, the hero of this story is the former #2 Bad Guy. It turns out he's Regan's one and only. Regan is one of my favourite characters, in moderation, she's good for the occasional funny quip, over the top action, or stupid "Val" trick but too much Regan is like an "ice cream" headache.
The back story lists the circumstances that drove Regan's man to the dark side and while tragic, to me, they didn't excuse his past atrocities. Typically, the men in this series, indeed this genre, are larger than life, super tough, mega-Alphas. The narration was great, I just couldn't get behind a normal, sort of anti-hero.

Awesome dark fairy tale!

Loved, loved, loved Regan and Declan story. A story of a love so fierce, betrayal and redemption -- all interspersed with humour, friendship and loyalty. Great read and as always Robert Petkoff is an amazing narrator.

Regin gets her Berserker

This was Regin's HEA and it is set during the same time with Lucia's book and Carrow's Book.

Regin was engaged to Aidan the Fierce before he was murdered. He kept coming back reborn again and dying when he remembered Regin and their love. Regin gets captured by Magistrate Declan Chase, the same guy who was working for the Order and she realizes Declan is Aidan's new reincarnation.

While she falls for her lover, she is also aghast at the havoc he is wrecking on all those she loves. She has the power to destroy him, by helping him to remember her and their love. But she is so tired of losing Aidan time and time again.

This book was really a big emotional rollercoster and it was a lot of pain for the main characters. I really liked Declan but not like I liked Garreth and the men before. I didn't enjoy this one as much because it lacked some of the funnier moments but it did have sweet ones too.

I am amazed at how Cole keeps simultaneous stories going on at the same time but they are all their own journeys to HEA. Bravo!

*sighing* Lothaire, that sneaky leech is up next. I am still mad at what he did to Carrow, and the lies he told young Thad. I hope he is redeemed in his book.

Surprisingly wowed!

After I finished the previous book and read this title's summary, I was uneasy to say the least. I was firmly embedded in my hate for Declan. In my eyes there was no way he could redeem himself, but by the end of the book, I was enthusiastically cheering for him to win Rigen's heart!
I don't know how she does it. She not only changed my mind about Chase, she also made me love his character. Easily moving him high up on my list of best male characters in this series!
THIS BOOK UNEXPECTEDLY BECAME ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITES SO FAR!!!

It's Regin the Radiant's turn....

Another great chapter in the IAD series. NOLA will be lost without Regin. I love this series and this story does not disappoint, made sexier by the narration of Petkoff.....*swoon*

Mixed feelings.

Althought I love Kresley Coles writing and this book was good I just wasn't a fan of Declan as a hero. He does totally transform in the end and turns out awesome. It’s the getting there that left a bitter taste in my mouth. Regin is a much better person than I, because I don't know that I could have forgiven him the way she does. But with that said I still really liked the book, I am enthralled with the world that has been built in this series and I will be listening to everything KC writes. I really like how she manages to overlap the same story into each book, yet make it a new story by who's point of view. Usually I'm not a fan of this type of writing but KC does it without making it seem repetitive, she brings life and adventure to the story. It only gets better with Robert Petkoff reading it.
