The final book of the Chronicles of Dragon Lance. The Final battles of Good and Evil. It will end here, for good or ill, for at least most of the companions of our D&D tale. The War of the Lance completes. Magic, sneaking, spying, War, interpersonal conflicts, conflicts of morality and of the soul all in this book. It is still a great story even after all these years.
The narration however seemed to weaken. Characters and statements that should have been said with strength almost seem whiny. The narration itself is decent, but it feels as if the narrator did not take the time to consider the situation and the emotions behind the situation and instead just read the book. The characters even didn't have as much distinction between them as they did in the first and second books.
The characters start acting like they feel out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down. Seriously unable to say this book was "good". the first two were great, bit this one just felt like it didn't even belong to the same story
Always fascinating. I'm always sad when they end. I deeply care about the characters and their struggles. the narrator does an excellent job bringing them all to life.
I always loved the dragonlqnce saga every since the first time I read through them about 20 years ago. the narrator here tries too hard to be overly dramatic sometimes and the phrasing gets all screwed up. need to find a better narrator who can read like he's reading to himself.
I love all of the dragonlance series. The epic fantasy is just what tickles my fancy and it is a story for all ages!
The complete contrast in voices he did for the different characters. It was amazing!
"It's time to toss the Dice"
A story I read when I was a teenager just as good as I remember. An okay performance and a good Series of books.Worth a listen when all the Great stories run out or if your just stuck as to what you'll read next.
Loved these stories in my 20's, when they first released in book. I would listen again, with a different Narrator.
I found his "acting" unbelievable and I did not care for the voices, I did not enjoy his performance at all.I simply could not listen to more than an hour of this Narrator, for me, he does not draw me in and "hook" me, he actually put me to sleep.
