Publisher's summary

The war against the dragon minions of Queen Takhisis rages on. Armed with the mysterious, magical dragon orbs and the shining, silver dragonlance, the companions bring hope to the world. But now, in the dawn of a new day, the dark secrets that have long shadowed the hearts of the friends come to the light. Betrayal, treachery, frailty, and weakness will nearly destroy all that they have accomplished.

The greatest battle they have left to fight is within each of them. Yet, in the end, they will be heroes.

Best trilogy ever

I have read and reread and now listened to this trilogy so many times. It’s my comfort. I love the way it’s written and all the characters.

Not Hood

Several of my older friends read this as kids and recommended it to me. It’s probably a good read for kids and preteens, but it really doesn’t hold up for adults. The characters mostly just felt like plot devices and their rationale rarely felt right. The relationships mostly had no backup and appeared out of nowhere as “true love”, while everyone treated their “true loves” like doormats. The female lead (Lorana?) was particularly disappointing, gaining power and position for essentially no effort or reason, then continually acting like an idiot child and boasting about being a grown-up. The narrator was absolutely dreadful, reading about a sentence per paragraph as though it were the climax of the series. It made the whole thing fall flatter than Nebraska.

Amazing work of art!

True love exists! This book sums up the early years of a great wizard Raistlin. Here is where it gets fun! Read on dear dnd fans! It only gets better. Thank you Margaret and thank you Tracy!

Excellent story and narration

This is why we read fantasy. This is why I listen to audible. Just a brilliant piece of entertainment.

A fantastic end to the Chronicles Trilogy

Without question, the DragonLance Chronicles is the Star Wars of the D&D universe. I’d forgotten how much I loved these books. Paul Boehmer brought theses characters to life with his superb narration. He took me back to my childhood where I’d sit late into a school night having these adventures. Fantastic story. Fantastic storytelling!

A Favorites from my early reading years

Dragonlance cemented my love for reading in the early 80s. 30 years later, these books do not disappoint an excellent listen, and I have grown to appreciate the narrator.

Amazing reviews all around

I have seen the reviews about Paul Boehmer, and I refuse to agree with them. I grew up with these stories read to me as a young girl, I think best about the laughter, and many tears call because my father and my brother both read these stories to me. And like my father, he did many voices that brought great joy to my heart. Honestly, after listening to I, Strahd, I didn't expect just such a magnificent performance, but I was truly impressed by his talent with all the different voices and accents, even though his British accent still sucks. But that did not diminish his storytelling whatsoever. I applaud him for a great performance at Tracy and Margaret and all their inspiration for the wonderful writing and storytelling that brings joy to my heart 30 years later. And I am so proud to call them my friends. ~ Stacy
