I always feel weird saying stuff about myself. I love to read and have recently decided that I also love audio books. Most of the audio books I have listened to so far, are also books I have read. I listen while I work so it's good if I already have a general idea of the story so I can focus on work and not miss anything. I am a general believer in re-reading books that I love. I may have read some over a dozen times by now.

What did you love best about Dragon Avenger?

I think my favorite parts were the ones where there was some reference to the first book in the series, I liked feeling Wistala's hope and happiness when she heard any sort of rumor about her brother.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Definitely Wistala. She is so fiery and determined to avenge her family but at the same time she has a good heart (hearts ^_^).

Have you listened to any of David Drummond’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to any of his other readings before but I definitely liked him and would listen to his other works without hesitation. I will admit though that when he went into any sort of battle scene I had a hard time paying full attention (granted, I listen to my audios while I am working) but I am not sure if that is the book or his reading.

    Any additional comments?

I read the first book but didn't feel too inclined to read the second. The book was good just not the kind of thing I normally read. The audio was a great way for me to "read" book two, while still reading whatever other book I chose, without losing interest half-way through.

    "Very enjoyable!"

I enjoyed this second story in the series. Although this story did not continue on from the first, I enjoyed finding out what had happened to the other dragons from the first story. There were a lot of things that were touched on briefly in the first book that got a better explanation in the second story.

Although this is the second in the series, I believe that you could listen to this one and not have heard the first one and still be able to follow and enjoy this story as a stand-alone.

The reader (David Drummond) did a great job on the different characters in this story. Each different character seemed to have a unique voice so it was easy to tell them apart.

"Its not safe to anger a female dragon. Yikes!"

I was excited to continue the story. I was even more excited to when I heard the story from a different perspective. E. E. Knight does a great job or telling the same story but keeping his readers in tune by changing the perspective. As always the narration by David Drummond was excellent.

A great read to see how vengeance is best served with choice organ meats that have been slow roasted with dragon fire.

    "Liked, but parts dragged on"
Would you try another book from E. E. Knight and/or David Drummond?

probably, good story, sometimes too much detail

If you’ve listened to books by E. E. Knight before, how does this one compare?

    first time

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

to much description at times for a book, good story line

Could you see Dragon Avenger being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

feel movie would be better than the book

    Any additional comments?

I would give the authors another try. Might be better books to read than to listen too.

    "Good read."

I really liked this book and I would recommend the series. E.E. Knight writes well and the book, written from the Dragon's point of view, is refreshing.
