A little Doctor for your ear holes

Would you consider the audio edition of Doctor Who to be better than the print version?

I don't think this would work as a printed story.

What did you like best about this story?

I was impressed because this story uniquely utilizes the fact that it is an audiobook. It is presented with the 10th doctor telling you that if you found this audiofile you would probably die. It's an interesting way to present an audiobook and works really well.

What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?

I am a die hard Doctor fan and just hearing him revive his role was a happy moment, its like I found an extra episode of his story arch that I had somehow missed.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Without saying any spoilers the doctors final revelation was a little tragic. If you have seen the show think the end of the shadow library episode or the waters of mars.

Any additional comments?

If you enjoy Doctor Who I would recommend this book. You wont be disappointed!

Story's a bit lacking but it's David Tennant!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

David Tennant as narrator is amazing, so definitely recommend-able!

What could James Goss have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It could have used a bit more fleshing out detail wise, but it was sufficiently creepy.

Was Doctor Who worth the listening time?

It was only about an hour long so definitely worth the time! I actually wish it had been more elaborate and thus longer.

Wonderful daily deal!

While I have not listened to many of these I thought it was a good solid story. Of course David Tennant does a perfect job. It makes me want to find out more about the 60's and England. Honestly, I would buy more of these but they are a bit pricey for the length. If you are a Dr. Who fan get it while it is on sale.

A clever idea well-performed

David Tennant did a great job voicing all of the characters. I loved way the story was written too. A must for Doctor Who fans.

Very creative!

Where does Doctor Who rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Well, on top naturally because so far I only purchased Doctor Who audio books. ;-)

What did you like best about this story?

The story is a bit weird in its essence but the approach is very creative. The whole story is built around the fact that we listen to it. (instead of reading it) The story plays with sound and voice effects. That is a bit irritating in the beginning but you soon realize what a brilliant idea it is.

What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?

Everything, as usual. He sounds different, compared to the other Who audio books he narrated but that is due to the nature of this story. He does a wonderful job capturing the atmosphere and the essence of this story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh a couple of times, yes. But I wouldn't call that an "extreme reaction"... :-)

Very Entertaining

Have you listened to any of David Tennant’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the second book I've heard read by David Tennant. He's far more entertaining in this one then the other book I've listened to. Much more energetic and I loved all the little voices he did.

Any additional comments?

I found the story did drag a little bit and there were some confusing parts. Over all, it was rather good.

It was great fun.

If you could sum up Doctor Who in three words, what would they be?

Dr. Who. What?

What did you like best about this story?

The odd logic twisting about through the story line and the bit of mystery left behind.

What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?

He is irresistible and captured my full attention from beginning to end.

Any additional comments?

My only complaint was that I wish it had been longer. The perfect antidote to commuter stress. It was a highly engaging story and very well done.
