fun

As a Doctor Who fan I was wondering how this book would be. I enjoyed it, it was short but fun to listen to. I think it was worth the time and hope others enjoy it also. The reader was very good.

Pretty good....and short. Damnit...

Where does Doctor Who rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Doctor Who always ranks high. Why? Because he's DOCTOR WHO! Seriously though the story was okay. The performance was excellent.

What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?

When he played The Doctor.

Any additional comments?

I got this one on the daily deal for 3.95 or some such. THAT is the price any audio book that is 2 hours or less deserves. Not 9.95. Not 7.95.

One hour deserves 3.95. Two hours deserves 5.95. Three deserves 7.95 AT MOST. Seriously Audible. You will sell a lot more copies. At those prices. I would buy them.

Okay rant done.

For now...

Allons-y!

Creative presentation, reading was great and the story, while superficial, satisfied. A bit on the predictable side, but solid Doctor Who fare!

David Tennant is the BEST doctor...on tv or audio!

If you could sum up Doctor Who in three words, what would they be?

Perfection. Engrossing. Funny.

What did you like best about this story?

It was wonderful hearing David Tennant narrate a Doctor Who story. He was by far and away my favorite doctor and I felt like I was "watching" a missing episode from the Tennant years. I wanted to snatch up all the Doctor Who stories narrated by David Tennant just so I could have another marathon-esque experience. :)

Which character – as performed by David Tennant – was your favorite?

The Doctor of course!

Story's a bit lacking but it's David Tennant!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

David Tennant as narrator is amazing, so definitely recommend-able!

What could James Goss have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It could have used a bit more fleshing out detail wise, but it was sufficiently creepy.

Was Doctor Who worth the listening time?

It was only about an hour long so definitely worth the time! I actually wish it had been more elaborate and thus longer.

It was great fun.

If you could sum up Doctor Who in three words, what would they be?

Dr. Who. What?

What did you like best about this story?

The odd logic twisting about through the story line and the bit of mystery left behind.

What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?

He is irresistible and captured my full attention from beginning to end.

Any additional comments?

My only complaint was that I wish it had been longer. The perfect antidote to commuter stress. It was a highly engaging story and very well done.

A little Doctor for your ear holes

Would you consider the audio edition of Doctor Who to be better than the print version?

I don't think this would work as a printed story.

What did you like best about this story?

I was impressed because this story uniquely utilizes the fact that it is an audiobook. It is presented with the 10th doctor telling you that if you found this audiofile you would probably die. It's an interesting way to present an audiobook and works really well.

What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?

I am a die hard Doctor fan and just hearing him revive his role was a happy moment, its like I found an extra episode of his story arch that I had somehow missed.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Without saying any spoilers the doctors final revelation was a little tragic. If you have seen the show think the end of the shadow library episode or the waters of mars.

Any additional comments?

If you enjoy Doctor Who I would recommend this book. You wont be disappointed!

Decent Short Story

Any additional comments?

I'm a huge fan of DW, and thought this would be just as exciting. I was only slightly disappointed. I thought the storyline was great, although it felt more like a horror story than the usual adventure story, which was fine, just not what I was expecting. Also, I had a hard time visualizing a lot of the scenes, however, that may be because they were mostly in the dark. This story was narrated by David Tennant himself, so that is a definite bonus!

I would try another DW book before I decide to just stick with the television series!

Great Listen

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

if you're a fan of the tenth doctor you will enjoy this. it takes place after season 4 in the time line.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tennant portraying the Doctor is great!! all the inflections and vocal mannerisms transfer over perfectly to this medium.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the cracks and hisses of the tape that are placed there intentionally are great.
