Not a bad story.

I've heard that the Doctor Who books can be cheesy, but this wasn't so bad. David Tennant does an excellent job with voicing the characters, but I felt his narration was a bit over-excited at times. I still liked it a lot, though! Lots of fun :)

Good, but not add good as the TV

I enjoyed it, but somehow it didn't measure up to the TV series. Probably just me, but there was something missing. then again, Tenant's voices were excellent is the telling.

Like a okay David Tenant and Rose episode

I would rate this as on par with an average David Tenant and Rose episode. Nothing memorable or ground breaking. Didn't take advantage of the possible extra length or unlimited budget (imagination) a book has over a TV show.

Abridged To Death

This is an abridgment of a Doctor Who novel that ends up sounding like a rushed episode.

David Tennant does a great job as narrator. Characters were nicely different and the voices he did for the regulars on the show when he was the Doctor actually sounded like the actors. Great job.

Where it fell down was on the abridgement. It was so abridged that it just took all the life out of the story.

I got this as a "Daily Deal" for a very low price, so I got my money's worth, but if I'd paid full price or a credit for it I would not have been happy.

If you want a quick Dr. Who episode without much depth or description of scenes or people or much else then this is okay. I did give it a 3 for story so it wasn't terrible. But it could have been much better if they hadn't cut it so much.

Great adventure of the Doctor

Where does Doctor Who rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was one of the best Doctor who adventures I've ever heard.

Which character – as performed by David Tennant – was your favorite?

David Tennant does a great job as the Doctor and that is not a surprise because he is the 12th Doctor after all.

Any additional comments?

Great book and you should listen it!

One of the best

Brilliant! It's always exciting to hear David Tennant bring the Doctor to life once again and his performance in The Feast of the Drowned is no exception. This is a really fascinating, slightly creepy story that reminds me just a little bit of Waters of Mars. If you're a big fan of Ten/Rose, you will love love love this story. I listen to this book over and over and over again.

Fun story! David Tennant is Brilliant!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes

What did you like best about this story?

It was a fun story and made me laugh out loud in quite a few spots. The characters were well written and stayed true to their on screen personas.

What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?

Everything! David Tennant is an amazing story teller! How he manages to keep all the characters straight in his head so that everyone has their own voice and personality, is beyond me! But he does it beautifully! I bought this audio book specifically for him and was pleased to find that the story was good too. But mainly it was for him and he never disappoints.

Don't go in the water...

I truly enjoy Doctor Who stories and have for many many years. This is a terrific addition to the Doctor and Rose and Mickey and the rest of the crew fighting a rather squishy opponent. Had a good listen.

B-Flick cinema brought to your headphones

If you've never experienced Dr. Who before, you may wonder what the heck this audio book is about. Rest assured, Dr. Who always comes with a pinch of cheesiness and a dollop of the ridiculous. It must be a recipe that works, as the series has a cult following the world over.

I won't describe the story, as it is typical Dr. Who, but I will applaud the production and performances. BBC, as usual, does a top-notch job of making this an entertaining and well produced version.of the TV series.

So, if you like Dr. Who on TV, don't be afraid of trying out this format. It 's almost as good as watching it on the tube.
