I was never a fan of Sci-Fi, but recently I've started listening to it and it's rather enjoyable. Even old sci-fi books from the '80s!

As always through out the series, the masterfull writing and the amazing narration take you away!

Possible murders to solve

This episode in the life and times of Miles Vorkosigan is a bit different. All of the books have superb plots, and many involve the investigation of murder or potential murder, but this more than most. I wasn't as fond of some of the characters we see again (Bel and Nicol), but I did love Miles as much as ever and Ekaterin is fantastic but in a supporting character role. Overall, superb writing, world-building and sustenance, and character-driven stories. I just don't love it as much as many that precede it. But this was not my first reading--have read it many times. Excellent narration!

Miles has grown up (sort of)

Would you listen to Diplomatic Immunity again? Why?

I will listen to this book over and over. It has such a great sense of humor and is a great continuing the Vorkosigan character with another non-stop adventure. Miles has grown up(sort of) The very idea of Miles as a father is presented with a light touch and without in any way changing the crazy, frantic pace, or general amusement the character has provided in the series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Miles is a person who, although he has strong family connection and wealth, has many problems to overcome. He does so in many ways that are amusing and touch the heart of the reader. The author always seems to be able to expose the heart of her character in ways that matter and connect with the reader.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is where Miles figures out what is going on and then realizes that he won't be able to be the one to make it right. He has to depend on others to finish what he starts. He deals with his fears in a very well written manner.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book could have been longer. At the end, I wanted more.

Love Bujold and Miles Vorkisigam

I have long enjoyed the writing style of Bujold. Her characters are well rounded, often unique, and their stories compelling. Miles is an unusual hero and in Diplomatic Immunity he has matured but not left the best of his old self behind. It's fun to watch him be challenged, stumble, have genius insights and deal with crazy situations. It's the greatest of success stories. It's great fun.

Miles and more Miles!

Miles is at it again! I love this series and cannot get enough of it.

I'm at the point where it's difficult to give an adequate review without giving away spoilers for those who are not reading the series. I'll just say that Miles and his family are again drawn into a disaster that involves murder, madness, and mayhem. Miles is desperately trying (with a good bit of help) to solve all the problems in order to make it home in time for a special event.

Easy listening

I very much enjoy these titles. The books are very engaging.

Another Solid Addition

I am still surprised I am pretty avid about listening to this series. It's not as action packed or fast paced as the books I tend to be into but the character and the plots for him are interesting, this twist even better than normal I'd say.

Mix of the clever Miles, with miles the clueless

loved to see the many couples.. combined with the puzzle solving and barely escaping from death..
